Started shop on etsy..... called this new collection "Stargazer" ; inspire by stars, sky, planetary muses and astrology. This is the only piece so far.. slowly adding to it....
Hope you like. Any feedback would be great, I have my own thots about it.
I just opened my etsy store and am trying to make a name for myself. I really would like to find places to sell them other than just online? any ideas?
I haven't posted in a while... But I have a TON of boring and/ or too big clothes I wanted to re-do into reconstructed pieces....
I turned these pants in cropped pants and then used part of the cuff to make loops on the inside so they would ruche and then added black satin ribbon to make bows on the sides......Turned out O.K. I think
I recently purchased a "Dritz My Double" from Some one on Craigslist.....( For a STEAL)... But Im a little confus-ed as how to use it.....Im still a Novice In general...
1. What is that pole that stick out from the bottom? what is it used for( God... I must sound like a Moron!!)....
2. Also..... Since it is a center pole form.... will I be able to alter pants I already have on it? They don't seem to want to go on smoothly....
I had an old pair of pants that don't fit my " curvy body" anymore... BUT I love tweed,.... so I made it into my first attempt at a handbag.I got the " infinity" idea from my mom who uses the symbol as a life guide.....
It was very easy since the pants were lined already so i had a lining almost already made.....I used the left over pants leg cut into strips for the " Infinity" rings for the handles and used Grey vinyl for the strap attachment.... Let me know what ya think... Comments and critiques welcome....
My best friend's little boy turned 4 this month... so his "Auntie" decided to make him a totebag for pre-school using his fav color Green and His fav things Dinosaurs and Trucks.... This was my first attempt to TRULY sew something....let along a tote bag....I used a tute from another site...(Gasp).. and Hubby cut out free-form letters and Dinos and Trucks....I put them on with spray adhesive...(used a bit too much= some of the "greasy stains")... and then applied puffy paint for the finishing touches...
Let me know what ya think... comments and critiques are welcome.... Thanx for looking...
BUT Im scared of my new sewing machine... Im a new sewer and i waited for Hubby to get me a new one... Now i do have one..(thanx Santa), But I am scared to use it... The fabric snags when i sew simple thin cotton.. I am having a hell of a time threading the bobbin and needle( WITH the Instructions).. I just was so excited to have it and want to make all these cool recons and stuff and I am frustrated.. any ADVICE? PM or post me... Thankies...
