So, I made this a while ago and forgot to post it! 

It's my first larger piece.  I only used a little color because I assumed that it would die like the rest of the bigger pieces... But It lived!  And the color turned out cool anyway!

It diameter is about 7" accross...




And here is my first Hummingbird Feeder!  It's not the biggest or the prettiest... but I finally got one right



I have a really cool oil lamp that I have to do some coldwork on.. so I'll save that for next time!

Wow again, would love to see a pic of your gramps - it is said that everyone has a twin somewhere in the world.  How cool to show my Pop his.  LOL.  We have a Rotary Art Show & Craft show on this weekend and hope that I still have time to enter it in.

Today I went to the toy stores, looking for goodies for my niece...

I had to pass a glassblowing studio.  So, of course I stopped and spent an hour there, watching and chatting.

I'm apprenticing with a glassblower.  But he closes the studio from january to the beginning of march.  i miss it.

glass blowing is one of those things that i love.  that i really feel passion for.  i haven't felt that way since rock climbing (which i had to give up).  anyway....

i haven't been doing it for very long, and i'm not really good at it, but i think i have a knack for it. 

here are a few pics, i'll try to do them in order made (roughly)



















I have two more pieces that i haven't taken pics of and my best two pieces are still at the studio, so i won't see them until the end of the month.

i am having a "i miss the studio" day...

I read about some cool usb drives here, so I thought I'd try my hand at one.
I used a plastic turtle I found at Target... it (was) a toddler's water toy.
I cut a hole in his rear  and forced the drive in.  Then pulled it out just a little, so that it edges kinda stuck out.  Then I sealed it with e6000.

Here's my new USB drive.  (I forgot to take a before pic)













Now he just needs a name
