Hiya I sorta winged the pattern although I knew I roughly wanted to make it like another dress I had.
The cloth is a light smooth cotton... so its not stretchy... but
Still too scared to attempt zips again yet, so it has an elastic waistband.

I searched how to make a curved neckline stay flat and I finally got it right!

The skirt part is just a gathered slight A line... I custom fit the neck line by using a thread to scrunch up the middle and tried until it fitted hehe.

One of my shoes's top layer pretty much disintegrated, so I underwent the task of covering the entire surface with fabric. P.s. I did submit this to ecouterre... so no panicing about ripoffs or what not.

Staring out: the bare shoe... with the top layer all peeled off , some naturally, the rest I helped it along by hand...


Next brain storming with ideas!


Decided I didn't like that enough to wear it, so thought up another. Here is the step where I start masking tape stuff in place so I have an anchor while I sew.


The curved needle is perfect for this task!!!

I made a tunic into a dress, it was all blue at first, then i cut up the middle part and added the white part in from another skirt I got tired of wearing hehe.



This was a short tube dress, hit my legs at a not so flattering height, so I added the cream coloured part on the bottom and also a halter neck so it will stay up!



And also I cut up a denim dress to salvage the chest area to use as the waist for a denim skirt instead. The denim dress's denim was not enough so I bought more denim to sew the bottom on

My first leather bag. I got two A4 pieces of scrap from ebay because I thought that would be the bare minimum to make something and it was.



I had a rough idea and did a simple mock up with construction paper. After that I just went ahead and winged it. I did all leather sewing by hand with an awl and a piece of cardboard. I used cotton covered polyester thread, meant for quilting because it was the biggest one I could find. I think I need to get a proper thread for leather next time round.

I first did sewed the leather part inside out.

Then I sewed the insides from a stiff satiny material I got on clearance sometime back. I winged it again and it turned out a big bigger than the outside, especially when I was sewing. I guess this is a hazard I'll have to make it a lil smaller next time, but better than too small no?

I combined both parts together, then decided that I couldn't take the stress of figuring out magnetic closures, so I cut a piece of lace and used it to wrap around the bag as a closure.
I also added a small piece of cloth that I could clip an existing bag strap onto.

I made a pair of booties, mittens and cap for my friends baby! All free hand, the booties were inspired by all the sneaker style booties I saw around!

I just found these cotton flats from rubi and got an idea that maybe they would take to some sewing, so I tried my hand at it and it worked! I wore it out for a whole day and nothing broke or fell off




Also I had these other flats that I had decorated earlier on, the stickered bits started to pop up and make lots of wierd noises so I didn't want them anymore. I tore them off and sewed on a piece of houndstooth cloth!

Just winged the pattern. Made mistakes and it turned out smaller than I expected hehe.

I decided to remove the sleeves and lengthen the dress as well for good measure, so here it is with me wearing it

Made this dress to wear to a wedding dinner. I added a zip and found out that I didn't need to open the zip to put it on. Still very happy with the zip results. Friend suggested using masking tape to tape the zip in place before I tacked it because the silky material was too slippery to even tack properly. That was a great tip!!! (even if I don't really use the zip lol.)

Its made from two fabrics, one is a print on black fabric the other is just plain black. I was inspired by all the handkerchief, scarf and colour blocking styles going down the runways like a couple seasons back.

Can't help trying my hand at these things... I've been very inspired by the multiple food-a-likes whether in plush, clay or crochet form. So here's my take on the cake slice:
