Peta has a page called I can't believe it's vegan!

There was an error in the URL.  Here's the corrected link: I can't believe it's vegan!
I like it, by the way.  Smiley
Eek, sorry about that.  Looks like I put had a ' at the end somehow.  Glad you were able to find it  Cheesy

I wish I had known that I would end up reading labels untill my eyes bleed. Angry
Sad  Yeah the reading labels all the time part is kind of annoying.  I usually try to get the same products that I know are veg*n friendly that way I don't have to read labels as much.  I also found websites that list products that are veg*n friendly are very helpful.  Peta has a page called I can't believe it's vegan!

The hardest time I have with labels is trying to decide what "natural flavors" and words that I've never heard of mean.  Huh

When fruit is in season, I cut it up, spread it on a baking sheet so it freezes in one layer, then toss the pieces in a gallon bag for future smoothie purposes!
That's a really good idea.  I was wondering about how to freeze fruit since it's farmer's market season and everything is substantially cheaper!

I haven't tried making my own smoothies yet, but there's a place near where I work that makes a really good one that has frozen strawberries and bananas mixed with 10 fruit juice blend (I'm not sure what is specific fruits are in the juice) and then it is blended with ice.

I love smoothies, I can't wait to try to make my own Smiley

Does anyone know know well they will keep?  I've found that a fruit smoothie is a great morning snack and keeps me full for hours.  So I was wondering if I could make one in the morning and stick it in the freezer at work.  I'm just afraid that it might turn solid.
857  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: Brother CS 6000i sewing machine on: June 15, 2007 12:30:13 PM
I have one and I really like it.  However it is my first sewing machine and I don't know very much about them.  I also haven't tried to sew anything thick yet.

As a beginner I found the machine very user friendly.  It was easy to wind the bobbin and thread the machine.
858  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Lactose Free Recipes on: June 14, 2007 09:17:35 AM
As TheBon mentioned, you can make some really yummy mashed potatoes using stock and herbs and they'll be much healthier Smiley

Here are some sites I found by searching for lactose-free recipes on google:

You might be able to find more variety by searching for vegetarian and vegan recipes.

Here are some sites with vegan recipes I have used:

Good luck!
