When fruit is in season, I cut it up, spread it on a baking sheet so it freezes in one layer, then toss the pieces in a gallon bag for future smoothie purposes!
That's a really good idea. I was wondering about how to freeze fruit since it's farmer's market season and everything is substantially cheaper!
I haven't tried making my own smoothies yet, but there's a place near where I work that makes a really good one that has frozen strawberries and bananas mixed with 10 fruit juice blend (I'm not sure what is specific fruits are in the juice) and then it is blended with ice.
I love smoothies, I can't wait to try to make my own
Does anyone know know well they will keep? I've found that a fruit smoothie is a great morning snack and keeps me full for hours. So I was wondering if I could make one in the morning and stick it in the freezer at work. I'm just afraid that it might turn solid.
