21  Re: "What do YOU Journal About?!" Ideas thread! in Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions by photojenn on: October 02, 2007 06:41:52 PM
I was so inspired that I spent the better part of today working on this  Cheesy  I saw this as a great excuse to play with my markers, so most of the pages are decorated with markers and colored pencils.  I also love lists so most of my pages are list oriented.

i am... (a list of positive things about myself - first page of the journal) / what did I learn today?

media/happenstance / things that make me smile

today i feel... / raindrops keep falling on my head... today's weather

i'm thankful for... / random facts

proof that i need my gym membership... / to do: crafts

Some of the other pages I don't have pictures for include
- goals
- things i hate
- i has a question (random questions)
- quotes
- i want to learn...
- currently listening to
- reading log
- vocab (i love learning new words!)

I just started yesterday so the pages are still pretty empty but I am really excited to see what this will turn into!  Grin

22  My failed attempt at a hobo bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by photojenn on: September 30, 2007 09:59:44 AM
I tried to make a hobo bag last night for the first time and wasn't very successful (probably because I didn't use any sort of pattern or tutorial).  But after spending several hours trying to make it and the fact that I really like the fabric, I figured I would post pics  Cheesy

Even after sewing and re-sewing all of the seams I still didn't get them all.

The dimensions of the bag are all wrong (it's too long and not tall enough), only one of the sides of the strap matches up in size with the body of the bag (the other one had to be folded to fit), and the seams are all ripping.

I really like the outside fabric (which I got for $1/yd at Joann's!) and I plan on trying again once I get more brown fabric for the inside.  Thanks for looking!  Smiley

I just got an awesome package from buttonmakers!  Sorry about the darkness of the pics, it's cloudy here today but I didn't want to wait to post pics.

First picture frames with pictures that she took!  And yes, they are already hanging on my wall  Cheesy

I love these.  I believe they are made out of the trays that you develop pictures in - so cool!

I am partial to the pictures on these because she used pictures that I took!

A mirror and case!

I love this, it is definitely going in my purse.

And as I was putting it away, I noticed this...

I also found this on the back of the note she sent

I have a suspicion it might be her hehe   Wink

Thanks for the awesome package buttonmakers, you are an amazing photographer and I really love everything!

27  Brown quilted paisley purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by photojenn on: September 12, 2007 03:41:32 PM
Yay now that miss_k has received her swap package I can finally post the purse I made with the leftover fabric!  I used the jordy tutorial and modified it slightly to make it bigger and add the quilting to the outside.  This is the first quilted purse I have made and I am really happy with how it turned out  Smiley

Thanks for looking!

Yay I received the most amazing package from miss_k today!  Here are the pictures!!!

First a shot of everything (notice the laptop in the background - I was talking to her as I was opening everything.  there were a lot of "omg this is amazing!!!" messages Cheesy):

Awesome froggie coaster! I can't wait to take this to work!

Pretty fabric flowers and vase! Also going on my desk at work!

Running banana t-shirt hehe

Omg markers in an awesome roll!  I -love- markers!

A photo file, I never would have thought of this one!

Cute notes she sent along with everything

And the big one, her first ever journal!  It turned out amazing!

It's cloudy out today so the lighting sucks and doesn't do the pretty colors justice.  This really was an amazing package, thank you so much miss_k!!!  Grin

29  Ameile Rasterbation in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by photojenn on: September 06, 2007 07:56:45 AM
This was actually my first project I did after joining Craftster back in January and I just now realized I never posted it  Cheesy

It's fairly large at about 68"x42"

I spent forever cutting the pages and marking on the wall to make sure everything was straight!  I was very happy with how it turned out.

You can find the rasterbator so you can make your own here: http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/  Just give it an image and it gives you a pdf (if I recall correctly) that you just print and you are ready to go!

Thanks for looking!  Smiley

I realized that I live about 300 yards from a one hour photo place and I'm impatient, so here are my photos  Cheesy

First the camera case EowynUlysses made for me:

Here are a few of my favorites:

She sent a cd also with some pictures on it, but it looks like there was a problem when it was burned so I can't see the pics.  I love the film though!   Smiley

You can see all of the pics at:  http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s218/photojenn_bucket/DispCameraSwap/?action=view&slideshow=true
