the Shetland Chunky was good for gauge too!

knit1bake2, I haven't been able to download it either--though they will apparently mail it to me for a $10 fee.  (So $$ because I live in Canada)  Yikes.

I contacted their customer service, and they said to make sure I'm ordering the pdf version--it has a "D" at the end of the pattern number, and just order it however I could, and they'd refund the shipping charges if I ended up paying them.  I'm still not exactly convinced to buy on this website.

You should contact them too and see what they say--and let me know when you find out!  There's no reason to have your address if you just want a download...

I have to agree--everyone's sweaters are looking fabulous.

I've been battling evil tendinitis and an annoying new propensity for messing up the lace pattern, requiring too much rest and too much frogging... I'll stop whining now, I promise.  Wink

Should be finished the second sleeve tonight (if all the lace holes will just go in the right place)--can't wait to get this thing wearable!

Oh, OK.  I'll look harder for the PDF!!  Thanks, Azmiat.

Ok, so it seems to me that the pattern is only available in physical form from Lion Brand, is this true?  That means that to get it in Canada I'd have to pay $10 and change... which is a bit more of a bummer than the $4 I thought it would be.  Do they have it in pdf form?  Am I missing something?

Love, love, LOVE.

OK, once I finish my Cherie Amour and some Christmas gifts I'm SO in.  Smiley

Yeah!  I want a rum barrel to carve my buttons, it will create a very fashion-forward patina, don't you think?   Cheesy

I had an epiphany about the sizing of this sweater last night, after finishing the ribbing section and realizing that the small is going to be... really tight on me.

Maybe I'm just slow on the uptake, and maybe I have this all wrong, but:

I'd suggest you choose which size to make by considering your underbust measurement and cup size as well as your bust measurement.  You see, I am making the small because my bust is 34 inches.  The thing is, I'm only an A-cup which means that my underbust is a lot bigger (I'm pretty sure) than someone who is a 34C or 34D.  Maybe I should have made the medium so the ribbing section would fit me a bit better.  Conversely, someone who has a larger chest than the model shown should possibly consider making a size smaller than recommended--your underbust is proportionally smaller than the pattern is sized for, so the ribbing will be loose and you won't get that nice waistline effect.

What do ya think?  Am I way out in left field?
