I wonder if you could dice them and preserve them in booze. I bet gin with a little bit of citrus would be delicious. I preserve pomegranate seeds in gin and they're a treat.

This rocks because the Saints rock! My best friend lives in New Orleans and said the town was rocking (more than usual) last night. Very cute!

Will you share your chocolate-hazelnut mousse recipe? It looks delicious!

The ones at the Scottish Arms are amazing! So, fellow St. Louisan, do you use a butcher or do you buy at the grocery store? And what kind of smoker do you use? I have a cheap starter one, but I'm ready for an upgrade and looking for recommendations. I might modify my cheap one to do cheese. Thoughts?
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Dark Green Day Sweater on: August 06, 2009 06:49:40 PM
I love it! I love love love sweater vests (I'm an accountant, if that explains anything- LOL). I hate that I can never find cute ones. Well done. And I like the length.

Love it. I also have a Glock 19 and I totally want your cozy. I hate that all of my gear is black or camo, so I covered my ear protection in rinestones and sold a few other sets. PM me if you want to do a gun-related craft swap! I love that it says "I like you America"- kind of a tepid remark. My (gun-toting) bf and I joke that more slogans should be less committal- for example, the one for our neighborhood, which is in a bit of a resurgence- should be "Maplewood- we're trying really hard." Great job.
8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: A stuffed dinosaur for my honey bunches. =] on: August 05, 2008 07:52:31 PM
Awesome. When I first saw it I thought it was the Sinclair dinosaur, which is wonderful because my darling boyfriend and I have a joke about the Sinclair dinosaur. I also make ridiculous crafts (I mean that in the nicest way) for my darling boyfriend (that is his name), and he threatens to pull them all out and line the aisle with them when we get married.  So good luck with that...
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Father's Day / Re: stepdad with cancer on: May 29, 2008 01:05:30 PM
If he can eat (not sure about the chemo- my mom wouldn't eat much when she was on chemo) you could make him a fancy-pants dinner. With a nice menu of his favorite foods, and table cloths and candles and stuff. You can wait on him with the napkin over your arm and all that.  If you have musician friends you could ask them to play a song (or hire someone out of your local orchestra) between courses, that way your dad receives an experience and not a thing. My cousins and I did this while my grandma was dying in the hospital, but we had to use the hospital food. It was such a nice change of pace for her and she was flattered by how much time we put into it. Take lots of pictures. My heart goes out to you.
10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Father's Day / Re: Crafty Sentimental Gift for First Father's day for a dad who Waited a LONG t on: May 29, 2008 12:51:24 PM
If he reads you could make him some book ends. I'm always looking for interesting bookends because I have lots of books...Michaels sells those cardboardy ones you can paint of decoupage...
