1  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: February Lady Sweater Along? on: August 14, 2008 06:15:41 AM
I started mine a couple weeks ago (but have set it aside to finish my Ravelympics projects). I'm using Paton's Classic Merino, that I hand dyed myself. I have pics up on my ravelry projects page. and on my blog (cinnaofdoom.wordpre ss.com). Haven't quite finished the increases yet. It seems easy enough as a project.

I'm also in Frederick! I mostly knit, but I have also been known to wield a crochet hook.
3  Pennsylvania / Pennsylvania: Southeast / Re: Anyone in Philadelphia? on: March 25, 2007 08:26:21 AM
sounds good.
i'm usually pretty free in the evenings. so pick a time and a day, and i'll be there. i'm also going to toot my own horn and say i'm more or less an advanced knitter, so i will be more than willing to help with questions.

non-knitting: um crochet, embroidery, tatting, handquilting... origami?

i got lucky and never decided to live on campus. but i digress.
if your interested in knowing how to get the the meet-up we have sundays, let me know. i can get you there by septa. or if your interested in starting a knitting group elsewhere, i can generally do that to.

that is CLASSIC, using a fork to weave in your ends.... i frequently will use a pen cap when i'm stuck at work without a needle Smiley
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: My finished Venezia on: March 14, 2007 05:26:17 PM
wow, i salute your patience!
also, i read it came from the interweave winter 06 issue... which i promply pulled from my shelf, only to discover i never actually looked thru it!! (i know... but i was busy)
so thanks for prompting me to look thru...
i like your version much better, its not murky and watered down. fan-tas-tique!

holy crap! this thread is over 2 years old... and there has yet to be a definitive 'hey, lets get together at such and such a place on x date at y time'.
i'm in the northern liberties(kinda)
there is a group of us that get together on sunday afternoons between 1 and 3 at the Latte Lounge, at 4 and Brown/Reno. Its a couple doors north of Honey's Sit and Eat. There are quite a few of us 'experienced' knitters there every week.
so if your available, and want to stop in, you'll see me there.

if anyone has any other suggested places or times or days, i'm game.

Tape my cat's butt, huh? That sounds awful funny.... for me that is...
I'm sure my cat would *LOVE* me for that one... he used to pee on my ex's stuff out of spite.... i don't know what he would do to my stuff if i did that to him.
