1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / PJ top to girls dress on: September 12, 2008 06:54:12 AM
I came across a pretty bland-looking pj top at the thrift store and at first glace didn't think much of it. But my little girl thought it was 'pretty!' so I decided to buy it for her. Originally I had decided to try and make a skirt for her, but after ripping 80% of the shirt apart I decided to try and make a dress. I used the collar to make the sleeves, and the purple bias tape was sitting in my fabric stash, so the final cost for her 'pretty for me!' dress was 35 cents. Grin

Here's the front:

And a shot of the back:

3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Eyelids? on: September 08, 2008 07:47:26 AM
This is such a simple question but it's driving me nuts. I'm trying to make eyelids for a sock cat, does anyone have any suggestions? They always seem to slip off of the eye as I try to fasten it and won't stay still. I don't know if it's the material, or me. It's probably me, now that I think of it...
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Forget the monkeys, bring on the cats! on: August 29, 2007 04:26:51 PM
As much as I love making sock monkeys, these guys are starting to grow on me. I hope you like them!

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Kitty condom beds on: May 10, 2007 02:27:14 PM
Here's my mancat Monty with his new bed. (The green plaid.) The other one is for an auction to help with a sick kitty's vet bills. The pattern is really easy and fun to make, and oddly addicting to boot. Each bed took about an hour to make.

Thanks for looking!
6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Book suggestions? on: January 30, 2007 06:39:09 PM
I had written down book titles that people had recommended, and didn't I lose it. I tried to search the threads but wasn't able to find where I had gotten them from. So, would anyone out there be able to offer a good book to read on starting a craft-based home buisness?

Thank you in advance!
