1  COOKING / Dessert / Re: cupcakes & DeviantArt, chocolate factory, flowerbox, kitty litter & panda cakes! on: March 15, 2008 12:57:25 PM
They are all so cute. I used to do amazing cakes and got frustrated spending so much time on them and then they're eaten in a flash. However they were appreciated and enjoyed.

Hi,

I've received from both Pinokeeo and Mave. Pinokeeo sent a great wreath and bead and spool candy cane. As you can see my tree is up and decorated with Mave's and Pinokeeo's ornaments. They are a great addition to the tree.

Mave sent a cross stitch and penguin. I really like the way she mounted the cross stitch. I love cross stitch but if I don't put it in a frame am not sure what do with with it. This was a great idea. The penguin is a lot of fun and his "arms" flap.

Thanks Pinokeeo and Mave for a great swap.

I forgot to mention, I also altered the lightbulb it had a stitched nose and I thought the pompom would be cuter. That's one great think about plastic canvas you can alter where ever you want.

Hi,

To the folks who wanted the Santa pattern, it's from a Christmas canvas book I bought and I think it would be illegible to post it. The book is Leasure Arts "Santa's Special Delivery" by MizFitz. Actually the beard wasn't supposed to look like that. It was just strands of yarn but I brushed it to get that affect.

There are a lot of cute plastic canvas ornaments on line you can get for free and others you have to purchase the pattern. The light bulb, the drums from Swap 2 came from on line, the Christmas tree from swap were on line. I did alter the Christmas tree instead of cross stitching candles on it I used brads. If you want great patterns just Google - Plastic Canvas Christmas Ornaments and you get a ton of sights. You can pick and choose from there.

I could do one more ornament if there is a Round 4.

We put our Christmas tree up Thanksgiving weekend.

I have to have the pattern. I have a sister named Robin and it will be a perfect gift for her.

Yesterday I received a darling elf and snowflake from starberrii. Starberrii, thanks for all the trouble you went through to get them to me. They were both in beautiful condition when they arrived. I will post a picture tonight.

Thanks again, Kibbi
