1  Re: Super shiny Short n Sweet (in blue!) in Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller by chibi elphie on: September 23, 2007 05:11:48 PM
Thanks for all the compliments!!! The dress isn't complete yet (have to add straps to it) but otherwise, this is how it's gonna look! My sister made it herself for a wedding she went to, so I feel really proud to wear it. (sorry about the poor quality picture, my mom and sister are busy and the mirror's dirty)

2  Super shiny Short n Sweet (in blue!) in Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller by chibi elphie on: September 23, 2007 03:12:38 PM
So, for homecoming, my sister's lending me her pretty yellow and blue dress. I really wanted to make something to wear to homecoming too, so I made this. It took 4 full balls (plus a little bit of a 5th) of Samoa (this really nice mercerized cotton). I made a couple mistakes, but they're barely noticeable.

Hope you all like it!

3  Re: Countdown to July Harry Potter Swap! in The Swap Gallery by chibi elphie on: July 07, 2007 11:15:12 AM
I received from g.23paxilon yesterday! I finally got pictures this morning, so please excuse my face.

I'm cosplaying Cho Chang for the book release (I haven't quite told my boyfriend that, even though I'm going with him) and possibly the movie too. She sent my a fantastic vest ( Shocked ) and a headband to wear to "keep your hair back while mixing elixirs in Potions class."

In addition, there's a cabled at to wear to quidditch matches on those chilly autumn days.

And a tin to keep stuff in!

Finally, she knitted me a little dragon! He's very cuddly and he doesn't like to breathe fire, so my parents are letting me keep him. His name is Gasquet (I was watching Wimbledon at the time) and he will be accompanying me to the releases.

Thanks for such an awesome package!!!

Wow... A lot have already been received... Here's one I just got from pogmothoin. She even sent me the pattern! It's so cute!

The whole square. The pattern is called Sugar Twists.

A close up. I keep thinking that the little white specks are tiny bunnies. And there are even little cables! Wow.

Thanks for an awesome square! I'm so excited now for more!

5  Cell Model for a biology project... I GOT AN A (yay!) in Crochet: Completed Projects by chibi elphie on: June 28, 2007 07:52:15 PM
So, for biology, we had a lot of choices for final projects and one of them was to make a cell model. Everyone else was thinking styrofoam and all...

I was thinking crochet.

So, I took the inspiration from here:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=65189.0

and I got this.

It took me about three weeks on and off to make. The nucleus (purple circle) actually flips open to reveal the nucleolus (a smaller purcle circle), which flips open to reveal a bunch of twisted yarn (CHROMATIN!) Haha, I had too much fun making this.

The best was the response I got from my teacher. She actually went over to another biology teacher's room and showed it to her (that teacher knits, so she was even more amazed).

All in all, I think it would make a great pillow.

6  Re: Wicked Round 2 in The Swap Gallery by chibi elphie on: June 28, 2007 07:45:10 PM
Ahhh... I feel bad. It feels like ages since I received and I still haven't posted pictures!

Well, here we go!

SHE SENT ME A CAPE! I feel so wondrously wicked in it. There's detailing on the back with the quote "Everyone deserves a chance to fly."

Stitch markers! There's another green one and a pink one too (for moments that I feel like Glinda), but I'm already using them.  Cheesy

And she made me these warm legwarmers. Sadly, it's summer here, so I'll have to wait until at least fall until I can wear them. They fit perfectly, and on the back of one is a broom! The other is a monkey coming out of a hat, but that's the best picture you can get of it. It does look like it though!

Thanks thread hates me for an awesome package and DTchick for a great swap!!!

7  Re: Razor cami knitalong? in Knitalongs by chibi elphie on: May 28, 2007 12:24:52 PM
Here's mine. I just finished it up today. I used microspun, so it's a little hot for now. Maybe I'll wear it tomorrow in my freezing school (stupid air conditioning).

8  Re: Yarn Swap for Rapunzel Scarf - Round 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by chibi elphie on: May 05, 2007 11:41:57 AM
A bit late, but I did recieve from everyone! I finially have a pic of my scarf!

The scarf itself on my dressform. It's about 6 1/2 feet long.

And a close up (not very good due to the sucky cameraphone)

Thanks to everyone who sent to me! I loved all the yarn!

9  Re: The Amazing Hoodie Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by chibi elphie on: May 04, 2007 08:22:03 PM
Well, I've received a while ago from scary teri, but I finally have enough time to put up pictures! (sorry about the quality, but my sister lost the camera, so I'm using the cell phone instead)

Not only did she send me a RENT hoodie (which I am wearing now), but I also got two postcards, an "Idaho Spud" candy bar (that was delicious), and a stuffed ducky (YAY!).

Picture of me wearing the hoodie

and one of my gratitude

Thanks so much for the awesome package!

YAYYY!!! I just received some awesome yarn from bronzfrog! I'll get pictures up in a sec, although my camera phone pictures won't do any justice at all!

::edit::

Pictures!!!! (the cameraphone really does no justice at all)

From Bronzfrog:

All of them together.

I's all feathery! The black and red one is sooo pretty.

Funfur! Oddly enough, I say the green and blue one at michael's yesterday and was thinking "I would so want that in the rapunzel scarf."

Some amazingly soft green and brown yarn. Where did you get this? I was so amazed with it's softness!

Thanks for all the great yarn! I'm so excited to get the rest of the yarn!!!
