21  Re: Butterfly a-long (Rowan 37) in Knitalongs by juniperl13 on: January 11, 2006 03:06:21 AM
Okay, so I was getting a little ahead of myself back there. Turns out I screwed up the lace Again and ripped it all out back to the frill. But then........I got it.

I got even more of it than I had before!

And then I realized that a lace camisole is not exactly a practical thing to be knitting in the middle of winter in the Pacific Northwest, so I started on my first pair of socks.

Bwahahahahaaa!

That's it. I've officially crossed the line into mad knitter territory. I've always found handknit socks to be a waste of money and effort and to top it all off, I don't even like this colourway! And yet...............I'm enjoying this.

Look! Look! I haven't fucked it up even Once!  Grin

I would kill to be able to memorize the lace pattern. Maybe I'll get it down by the time I make the fourth one of these...

I've also decided that I'll make this first one according to the pattern and then try another in the round.

24  Interweave Knits Fall '04 Corset Pullover - done! in Knitting: Completed Projects by juniperl13 on: December 16, 2005 04:28:53 PM
It's about bloody time I finished this thing!

Sorry about the less-than-great picture.

Anyway, I made this in Lion Brand Cotton (black, obviously) and decided that I loved the straps too much to omit them. I'm fairly certain I made the third size and added a few extra decreases/increases to make it closer to my shape.

It's like Lip Service knitwear!  Grin

LOOK! LOOK WHAT I GOT!!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Designedbyrj sent me absolutely delicious jewelry. The necklace and I became close friends about 10 seconds after I took it out of its package, and I think I'm going to wear the earrings tomorrow. ^_^

They're both PERFECT. Thank you so much!!!

28  I can't stay away from lacing! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by juniperl13 on: November 24, 2005 04:51:44 PM
I'm posting this a couple of months late due to laziness, but I made this back in September for my sister's 15th birthday.

I also made a mauve/rose TLC Amor version of knitty's W to go with it. I'm sort of sad that I didn't have time to make any jewelry to complete the outfit, but oh well.

Here's the lace dress I just tore my hair out designing - it really does fit beautifully. The pic is of a friend who is definitely a size medium, I'm a small - it fits us both.

The pattern is posted on my almost-finished knitting site:

*sigh*

30  Re: S&BN "Candy Stripers" Bag Knitalong! (now w/pics) in Knitalongs by juniperl13 on: November 15, 2005 03:18:56 AM
Oh right. I made this.

I still need to shave and line it. Maybe put some plastic canvas in the bottom so that it holds its shape better. It's kind of really fuzzy and sort of floppy right now.
