11  Just a Little Lolita! Deer Sweetie Dress, Cinderella Card Dress & More in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Silversark on: January 27, 2009 03:15:53 PM
I'm leaving for a short vaykay tomorrow, so I figured I'd leave you with a few of the newest pieces I've made.  I'm currently working on another dress (which I hoped to have done before the vacation, but meh, I was lazy) so look forward to that.  Unless specified, I have not made any of the blouses.

Deer Sweetie dress.  Fabric from superbuzzy.com -- it's kind of like canvas. Used no pattern.

13  Loli-tized Rocket Dog Shoes in Shoes: Completed Projects by Silversark on: December 15, 2008 02:14:10 PM
So on my quest to find winter boots, I found myself at Journeys.  I got a great pair of boots, as well as an adorable pair of brown Rocket Dog shoes on clearance.  I needed a brown pair of loli-style shoes, and I figured I could even dress 'em up a bit.

So here they are au natural:

I had a small spool of pearlescent off-white bead strand which was sorta "halved" so it could be placed onto a flat surface without stickin' out all funny.  I also used ivory ribbon.

<sorry I didn't rotate this one

Now they're all pretty!  Thanks for looking.

14  LOLita [image universe] ANSWERS REVEALED! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Silversark on: June 17, 2008 03:37:10 PM
Well here's some more dresses and separates.

I altered the sleeves on this blouse and made the navy blue high-waisted skirt:

A fabric I found at Hancock Fabrics with little boys and girls riding carousels, and I made the blouse as well:

The only photo I have of the Skeleton skirt.  I found this on clearance at JoAnn's Halloween '06.  It's got little dancing skeletons in the black checks:

A dress designed by a customer, made my me.  Disregard the white marks on the front of the dress; I washed 'em off before I sent the dress:

A halter dress I made in a few hours last week sometime:

This fabric used to be a tablecloth.  I had most of it done some time ago, and it's been laying around forever, so I finally finished it this weekend. Bodice is pintucked:

An Ivory embroidered cotton JSK:

Wool Capelet, Bell-sleeve Blouse and Wool Pleat Skirt:

Baby Blue and Lavender Floral High-Waisted Skirt:

15  EGL? Why of course, it's my signature. [Image Heavy/UPDATE!] in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Silversark on: June 04, 2008 03:07:07 PM
Well the reason I haven't posted so long is that I've been getting more commissions (yay!) and I wanted to save up to have a big ol' post for all of you (because it's boring to look at just one picture, yes?).  So here's a bunch of stuff I've made within the last six months or so.

Here's a dress I made based off a Metamorphose pattern in Gosu Rori (Goth Loli) volume 3:

A Poodle Skirt and Shirred Blouse I made late last month some time:

The Teacakes dress I made quite a while ago.  I love the print:

A slightly better look at the fabric:

A beautiful black and white Toile print dress I made a few months back:

Back Shot:

Oh No! I'm flying away!

The apron I took off a Hot Topic costume, and it took me forever to make a skirt to put it on.  The blouse is Erin Fetherston.

UPDATE UPDATE BEEP BEEP!
Here are some photos done during the winter-time:

Ivory Floral Cakewalk Skirt:

Plaid Flocked dress based on the Angelic Pretty Dress pattern in Gothic & Lolita Bible Vol. 16:

A Lavender dress I made for a customer based on her design:

I found this gorgeous Jacquard fabric at Yellowbird in Lansing, IA:

16  Wedding Shoes get flamed! in Shoes: Completed Projects by Silversark on: February 17, 2008 06:46:01 PM
So I  bought these shoes for my friend's wedding in September.  I really loved the slingback peeptoe look, but I really don't wear white shoes.

So after the wedding I decided to give them a little overhaul, but I only had a few marker colors.  This is the best I could come up with:

The other back has a skull on it:

They'll look totally awesome with a dress I have yet to upload to craftster.

17  Re: 2007 Completed Costumes Scrapbook! (completed project pictures & links go he in Halloween Costumes by Silversark on: November 11, 2007 03:44:16 PM

Doctor Girlfriend/Jackie Kennedy costume, made out of T-shirts and handsewn because I didn't have my sewing machine with me. The hat was just made out of cardboard and tape and covered with fabric, I think it was my favorite part. No one recognized me but everyone thought it looked nice. From a distance. In the dark, hah hah...

That is an excellent Doctor Girlfriend.

A fantastic pinstripe Capelet with some Octopusian Embroidering:

A beautiful pair of wristcuffs:

and also an Edward Scissorhands cosmetic mirror, but I forgot to take pictures of it.  She also gave me some nice sparkly pictures of Edward and Jack & Sally.  I will definitely get some great use out of these items, they go great with my fancy schmancy clothes!

19  Re: Japanese Street Fashion Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Silversark on: July 05, 2007 10:43:09 AM
Alright! With the holiday and working I wasn't able to get pics up, but here they are.  Thank you, Skarinja for a lovely swap!

The shirt is really cool, but it was kinda drowny on me:

So I fixed it up to fit me, and viola!

She also sent me a few fabric swatches (two aren't seen here) and some other great accoutrements.  I LOVE the buttons (the dredg one is my favorite!):

Thanks again for the great swap, Skarinja!
