My husband and friend are making wine. It's great and wonderful but the silly boys have way too much wine in the making...and not enough wine bottles. We've managed to snag some bottles from friends and such...but not enough to get through all the Christmas wine we'll be forking out this year. Any ideas where I can find some free wine bottles? I've already tried craigslist....
My husband and I just got an invitation to his cousin's wedding...in three weeks (on my birthday to be exact...but I will be a big girl and not sulk...much). I've only met his cousin three times (once at my wedding, and the other two were at family functions and we didn't talk much). All I know about her is that she JUST graduated, she seems very classy and level-headed (for a teenager at least, lol), but appears to have a very sharp tongue and quite a sense of humor. Neither my husband nor I know the groom-to-be.
So, what in the world do I make for her? We're pretty low on money, but they spent serious money on our bridal gifts. The store-bought gift will probably be a nice frame for a wedding picture, but I'd like to make her something personal. I can sew, I can crochet a little, I can paint when needed, I can cook...help!
I have this tote full of clothes that I've been meaning to reconstruct or something, but after opening it I decided I was too lazy for anything complicated. So I made a skirt out of tshirts. Yay! Nothing too fancy, but it's recycled and pretty.
One of my exes had given me a kimono one year after he had been in Korea. Not knowing what to do with one, it stayed in the back of my closet. Recently, I had discovered I still had it and realized how gorgeous the fabric was (and how much I hated I still had it). So, I made two throw pillows and a purse for my sister (which I'll post later). Sorry the pics are so crappy (same for the couch...hehe).
