Hi everyone Smiley

I wanted to show you what I've been up to, dabbling with wire knitting.
It's really good fun once you get used to knitting with something hard yet flexible, unlike soft yarn.
I incorporate metal beads, gemstone chips, large seed beads and pearls.

Onto the pics, here are three I have made:

Mermaid's Treasure - This one has dark grey freshwater pearls, large clear foil seed beads, mother-of-peal shell pieces and silver metal beads.

Purple Haze - genuine amethyst chips, purple glass silver streak beads, dark grey freshwater pearls, iridescent large seed beads and silver metal beads.

A Ladybird's Luck - red and black wire, hand-knitted together along with red and black glass and glass pearl beads in round and tubular shapes.

Hope you enjoy! As always, questions and comments? Yes please!

Hello Smiley

Here are some wire wrapped bangles I have been working on lately. I can't seem to stop making them, I want to see how they look in every colour of the rainbow! Swirl clasp is formed from scratch and then hand hammered, great way to get some aggression out!

Hope you enjoy looking at these!

Questions and comments? Yes please!

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / My take on Halloween Jewellery - Real Glass Eyes on: October 20, 2009 12:12:11 AM
Hi everyone Smiley

It's been a while since I posted but I have been very busy making lots of new things!
Have been dabbling with some glass eyes after seeing a friend's glass eye collection (she is a taxidermist) and thinking it had some great jewellery potential!

Questions and comments, yes please!

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Wire Wrapped Beach Stone Pendant on: July 21, 2008 07:38:56 AM
Here's a pendant I put together over the weekend, the stone was given to me by my boyfriend who found it at the beach on our holiday. If you look closely, you can see that it has a stripe around the top (it continues around the entire stone!) Wrapped with a thick, soft silver decorative wire and fine beading wire!

Any comments or questions welcome and appreciated!  Cheesy
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / First Post! Silver and Icedrops Necklace on: July 16, 2008 09:12:08 AM
Hi everyone!

This is my first post so be kind if I stuff up anything technical!  Cheesy
I'm a Visual Arts student majoring in painting, but one of my other loves is jewellery (especially beads!)
I mainly work with glass and lampwork beads, shells, freshwater pearls and chain, so here is my "Silver and Icedrops" necklace, inspired by the cold winter coming on down here in Australia! Foil bead, silver dragonfly and feather charms and chain, ice blue freshwater pearls and clear crystal Swarovski crystals.

Love to hear what you guys think! Smiley
