1  CLOTHING / Clothing Sewalongs / Jeans Revamp Sew Along on: May 19, 2007 10:14:23 AM

So I've been thinking. Among my friends I am known as the Jeans Queen because that is my favorite thing to sew- I love revamping and painting and patching and generally Frankenstein-ing my jeans. Lurking among the posters here, I've noticed a lot of you do the same. So why not make it a sew along? Drag out your sharpies, sequins, patches and (of course) Good Ole Blues and let's have a sewing party for our Jeans.

What do you think? Anyone want to do a Jeans Revamp Sew Along?

2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Cyber Punk Stencils on: March 02, 2007 04:56:14 PM
Hey! It's Gem again!!
I just did a bunch of stencils (to promote something, yes, but..) I still wanted to show them off. This isn't an add, this is just me. All of the lettering I hand stenciled with my own stencils (okay I was bored at work and decided to stencil!) and the pictures of John Delacroix I made from a photo of the actor playing him. ^_^

These are for sale, of course, but again I didn't do this for advertising. For more info on what movie they are promoting or how to buy them, click over to www.grindlebone.org. They'll be sure to help you out.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / New Clothes for Me! (Picture Heavy) on: February 25, 2007 08:05:09 PM
I've been updating my etsy store like crrazzy and all this making stuff for other people has made me realize how crappy my wardrobe has been looking lately! I'm still working on it- I want a sort of hippy-punk/lolita look. This is what I've got so far. I hope you like it! I'll start with a pair of pants that I fixed. They ripped here and I didn't want to lose them so I fixed and repainted them!

More Stuff for Me:

And this bolero was made from a huge, quilted, sleeveless tent dress that buttons up the front. The detail on the sleeve was actually slits at the bottom of the dress. I cut and tailored the bodice to where I wanted it and then made the sleeves from the bottom. I'm really proud of it!
