Beautiful!  How did you learn so quickly?
2  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Zimmerman KAL?? on: August 28, 2007 04:44:48 PM
For those of you who haven't picked up an EZ book yet... do it!!!

EZ's recipes are great for stretching you as a knitter.  Also, her advice on knitting has made me feel so strong as a knitter.  I read her books and did a steek on my second sweater!
3  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Lady Eleanor Round 2? on: August 28, 2007 04:39:07 PM
I made a smaller version as well as a scarf for a friend.  It's a Christmas gift and I am so excited to have it finished already!  She knows she is getting a knitted gift so I might send it early so she can use it during the long Colorado winter.

Used 3.5 skiens Patons SWS in Earth

Absolutely stunning.  Nice work.
5  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Knit & Tonic's Flair anyone? on: June 27, 2007 07:03:34 PM
That might be great because of the wool in that yarn.  I'm not impressed with the Blue Sky after 2 wearings.   Undecided
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Toddler Seamless Hybrid (EZ love!) on: June 25, 2007 04:29:38 AM
That is just fantastic.

How bad was steeking?  I'm a few short weeks away from it on a cardigan I'm working on, and it scares me! Shocked
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: turtle scarf! on: June 21, 2007 05:22:50 AM
Very nice, and such crisp definition on the turtle!
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Debbie Bliss cashmerino classic cardigan on: June 21, 2007 05:21:55 AM
Adorable!
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / EZ February baby sweater on: June 21, 2007 05:19:46 AM
I love when someone I know is having a little girl, because this sweater makes me so happy.

Pattern: Elizabeth Zimmermann's baby sweater on 2 needles (practically seamless) from Knitters Almanac
Yarn: Caron Simply soft, which is worsted.  I like the drape of this better with DK, but this was a stashbuster
Needles: Size 5 knitpicks
Mods: I only added 2 buttons and did not do the decreases for the bottom band, because I flat out forgot.
10  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Wicked from Zephyr Style on: May 23, 2007 05:38:58 AM
That is really looking great, Roe!

I've picked this back up and I am going to blatantly copy (that's flattery though, right?) the mods made by Flint Knits to make it a cardigan, with one exception... I knit so much better in the round that I am going to steek it.   Shocked

Here's the mods that inspired me:
