4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: The things no one tells you before you become a knitter. on: September 27, 2011 01:31:05 PM
Such a good list!

- No one tells you that not everyone understands just show much time/effort/love went into that special knit gift, especially when the next thing they open is shinny.
^This is one of the hardest to learn :/

Also
-No one tells you that you will eventually move on from red heart and skeins of lovely natural fibers can be upwards of 20 bucks

6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: Blog? on: September 04, 2011 03:11:02 PM
Thanks for the advice guys.
I'm doing the twitter and facebook thing, but it hasn't seemed to help much.
I just started the blog, and I'm finding it to be kind of fun. I was hesitant at first but it could be a fun project. We shall see how it goes!
7  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Blog? on: August 22, 2011 09:22:29 AM
I've had an etsy shop open for a while and I feel like I'm not getting the traffic and views I want.
I know of a lot of crafty folks who sell their stuff and have blogs. I think the blog idea brings interest and views to shops, but I'm wondering who has first hand experience with this?

I am thinking about starting a blog, but I am hesitant to add another thing to keep track of Tongue
I would love to spend that time making more jewelry for my shop, but I guess whats the point unless people are looking?
What do you all think? Have you had a lot of success with a blog?
Thanks!

Hey everyone,
I am trying to take selling my stuff online seriously, but I need some help!
I keep asking opinions of people who aren't familiar with crafting and the process and they prices they've suggested are reflected in my current store. I currently have only 3 things in the store (hoping to remedy that in the coming week), but as far as whats up there, do you see those as fair prices?
I'm leaning towards charging a bit more, but I don't want to make my jewelry too expensive...any thoughts?

Thanks Smiley
