1  Pressed flower resin jewelry in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Ignitetheairwaves on: May 15, 2011 04:25:57 PM
I've been playing with epoxy resin lately, and I love it. I feel like there are so many possibilities with it. I've been pressing flowers and embedding it in the resin.

These are pendants I made containing some different wildflowers and tree blooms.

Here are some long pendants

Tiny earrings with little leaves and stems

Earrings with purple flowers

These earrings seemed a little boring with just the resin, so I added beads to make it brighter. I wanted the color of the beads to bring out more of the green color in the resin.

Thanks for looking!
I would love comments/criticism/ideas!

My envelopes arrived the other day, and here they are!

From Kurtzie:

I really love the cell phone charm and the red and green paper Cheesy
The resin bottle cap is awesome and really makes we want to try messing around with resin.
From Tattooedcrafter:

There is a TON of paper here, and some cute little die cuts and bookmarks!

Thanks so much you guys!
This was a super fun first swap and I really love my envelopes!!!

3  Cuffed Denim Shorts in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Ignitetheairwaves on: July 24, 2009 11:04:07 AM
I Don't know about any of you, but I have a major problem with finding jean shorts.
I have no intention of wearing tiny daisy dukes.  At the same time I'm only 19, so I don't fancy the other extreme of baggy bermudas.  I figured the only option was creating a pair at a length that I felt comfortable with.
So I went to Goodwill and found a pair of jeans that fit me in the waist. Then simply cut them, then hand-sewed up a cuff!

I think they came out pretty cute.  And they were crazy easy to make Smiley

Let me know what you guys think!
