Mmkay, so I haven't been posting in a looong time. Silly school But now that it's break, I have crafting time :] So I actually made this one about a month ago, but I just found my camera 'cause i actually cleeeaned my desk. I know there are bags similar to it on here, but this my take. But yeah, here it is.
And look! It's reversible!
So there it is. As always, comments and criticism are more than welcome. Thanks for looking
Hey everyone! This is my first time ever on the east coast.... erm... anywhere out of California, actually. My mom and I were thinking of stopping up in NYC while we're here, and I was hoping to maybe find some cool new fabrics and stuff. I was wondering if maybe all you craftsters had a few recommendations? I have nooo idea where anything is in the area, so any sort of suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
So I've been looking around at everyone's amazing ability to stencil and screenprint, and I decided that I had to try something or I was gonna drive myself insane. haha So this is my first ever attempt at a stencil, and I'm actually kinda proud of it. The Crave is the name of my youth group, and I've been wanting to incorporate it into something that I make for a while now. And now it is.
Outside of the bag -
Inside w/ pockets open... kind of haha
And close-up of the stencil (it's kinda blury >.< )
I'm on a tote kick. haha I loved my last bag so much that I just had to make another one like it. And I kinda sorta fell in love with this camoflauge fabric. So what better to use? But anyway, here it is:
Inside (yes, that is a zipper in the liner. I'm so proud. )
And my terrible attempt at an action shot :
So what do you guys think? I'm actually considering selling it... If I did, do you guys think it would sell?
Mmkay, so I've had these two fabrics foreeeever and I'm like... hmm... tote bag! This is the first time I'd worked with pre-made handles, but they just matched so well! haha This is my first time working with an applique, too, and my second with magnetic snaps (which I love now :]] )
Outside - hanging (no, the cord part of the bag. I had to charge my phooone. lol )
Inside with snap
Close-up of heart applique (again, no cord. lol )
Outside - laying flat (with a funny line on the fabric )
So what do you think? As always, any comments or criticism are welcome. Thanks!
Okay, okay, so it's not all one purse. But it might be! Some day...
But anyway, I've been falling so behind on my posting. >.< I've made, like, seven new bags... if only I had pictures of them all. But I do have pictures of these three! That's good, riiight? lol
I made these three all using the lovely tutorial by tinafish. Thank you, tinafish. :]]
Plaid: I made this one 'cause I had the fabric and I was just dying to make something cute out of the adorable plaid. And I love it.
Polka Dots: Okay, so the polka dots aren't on the outside... but I assure you! They're there! They're just hiding. This is for my friend's birthday tomorrow. She spefically requested lots of red and polka dots. The red might look a little funny.. my camera was being mean
Aaaaaand Purple: I loooooved this fabric. From the first second I saw it, I knew I had to have. And then I found this lovely purple bottom weight that matched amazingly, and viola, a cute purse. For some reason, the handles look a little crazy in these pictures... they aren't normally. >.< lol
Anyway, as always, comments and criticism are always welcome. Thanks for looking!
I'm making a diaper bag for my cousin's upcoming baby shower, and although I've made bags before, I haven't attempted a diaper bag...
I actually have pretty much everything planned out and I've begun putting it together and stuff.
I just have one question: What kind of shape would I use create a bottle pocket? I've only worked with elastic a few times, and that was to repair clothing. So I'm not entirely sure of the effects it will have on the fabric. I thought it might be as simple as an upside-down trapezoid-ish shape, but I'm not entirely sure.
Can any more experienced Craftsters help me? Any help is greatly appreciated. :] Thanks!
My Sweet Sixteen is coming up preeetttyyy soon, and I'm still running through decoration ideas for it. The party is pretty simple, just me and 10-15 of my friends hanging out at my house wif games and stuff.
My question is, what would be nice, simple decoration ideas that fit the theme, but would be relatively low-cost and not too time consuming? I'm already doing balloons and streamers and that kinda standard stuff, but would that be enough? I'm just aiming for a general pinkish-and-blackish feel.
Alright, so my friend's birthday party is today, and she told me that she wanted me to make her a tote bag like the one I carry around at school. So, I had her make the decisions on fabric and I put it together. She chose the Coca-Cola print because she's a "Coke-addict" so to speak. Anyway, here's what I came up with:
Pocket/ Close-up of fabric/ My hand:
Liner (Which kinda reminds me of a black hole...) :
I swear, it's a little more symmetrical in person.... it was just being mean today.
So what do you think? Comments/Criticism always welcome.
Mmkay, so I was browsing Craftster the other day and I needed something to do because I was dying of boredom. >.< I was going through the archive of featured project, and found this tutorial by tinafish: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=35575.0 So, after much rejoicing, I got to work.
And here's what I came up with:
And more outisde --
Sorry for all of the yucky link-ness, but I guess I haven't posted enough to have the ability to post the pics.
Let me know what you think. Comments/ Criticism very welcome, especially considering this was my first attempt at something with a zipper. Thanks!
