Actually Jessica.Marie, i made a diaper bag for my cousin's baby shower a little while ago and had the same problem. what i did was take some of those sheets of plastic that people use for decorative covers, i can never remember what they're called... They basically have rows and rows of squares cut out and you can weave yarn through them (sorry i don't have a name  Embarrassed )

But I cut a couple of those to fit the bottom and stitched them together in a few places and then anchored it to the corners with a few more stitches. I think if you do that and use strong interfacing and french seams, it could last a good while. Heavy duty fabric is always a plus too  Roll Eyes

Sorry for being so wordy haha. I think they have some stuff you can buy that's made for purse bottoms, but i have no clue where to look  Undecided

I hope that helps! Sorry again if that was a little long winded... haha

ooh, i like the zipper pouch :] it's super cute and totally works. i was wondering, do you think you could back it with something kinda sturdy like cardboard or something so that it could maybe hold more of a bookish shape? i think that would be cute haha.

and i really like your pocket idea ambiguous.miss. some place to put all those little books we hafta read in english. i hate it when i'm stuck sitting somewhere boring and i can't do my reading 'cause i didn't have room for my book  Sad

I want to make a super heavy duty (but also super cute lol) bag to carry all my stuff in. and I need a place to put the pens and pencils that i'm alwayssss losing..

I can't wait to start!

9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: Semi-New Craftster with a Big Sweet Sixteen coming up!!! -I need help.. please on: April 23, 2008 04:55:14 PM
Mmkay, well. Where do you intend to have you party? That has a huuuuge impact on what all you can do and what decorations and all that fun stuff.

When I did my 16th party, my friends and i just kinda liked to hang out. that was just 15 people tho. 100 is kind of a little more lol. But we just like having games set up like maybe guitar hero or ddr or karaoke? Or you could have a huuuge waterballoon fight. With 100 people, that would totally turn into a waterballoon war (which definitely works best outdoors... ) Or if it's indoors, you could do it dance party kinda thing. Maybe like a night club? Have green and pink glow sticks and all that stuff.

But yeah, where it is and what you and your friends like really changes what kinda stuff you'd want to have. So sorry if that didn't fit at all what you wanted :/
