2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Applejack Hats - why aren't there any patterns? on: December 23, 2007 12:42:12 PM
I had been seriously looking for a knitted pattern like this also!  I couldn't figure out why I could only find crochet patterns and I certainly don't know how to make my own  (still kind of a novice knitter).  I didn't know they were called "applejack" hats either.

Your friend should totally love this.  It's perfect!!

Absolutely adorable!  Most baby sweaters are too "babyish" to me, but this is perfect!  It looks like it fits her perfectly also!  Great job!!

I love this sweater!  You did such a great job.  I think I will try this!

How many skeins of yarn did you use for the shorter version?

7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Gifts for co-workers on: May 15, 2007 07:32:04 PM
I started a new job at a bank last September.  For Christmas some of my co-workers gave small gifts to everyone, so I would like to be on the ball this year and return the favor.  I would need about 25 gifts, which would break the bank if I had to purchase each one.  Does anyone have any ideas for small but meaningful gifts for that many people?  I figure if I start now I MIGHT be finished by Christmas!  Also, if this has already been asked please direct me to the thread.  TIA Smiley
8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: Baby shower and gifts for mother help on: April 29, 2007 11:42:26 AM
I was wondering the same thing about the rag quilt.  I was so excited when I found a pattern for one because I had never seen one before.  I have a friend who's having a baby girl and she would LOVE this, but I'm thinking about a newborn laying on that fringe and wondering if it would be irritating.  Has anyone had any complaints about that?

Note to self - add safety goggles to sewing kit! Undecided
