21  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Hula Girl Purse on: January 03, 2005 09:32:55 PM
I was inspired by Lulu B's embroidered Amy Butler purse so I copied her and made my own.

22  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Happy Days Purse on: December 05, 2004 05:58:32 PM
I bought this fabric on a whim and I was pleased to be able to actually use it!
23  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Homestarr Runner on: December 05, 2004 05:55:55 PM
This is take 2 of the bag I started in the summertime.  I should have taken a pic of the first attempt but it was bad, and I don't mean bad in a good way.  Thanks for everyone with their tips on filling a design, it drastically improved the whole design.  I'll try and take a better picture later.
24  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Celtic Knot pillow on: December 05, 2004 05:53:34 PM
I thought this project would be quick.  Notice, I emphasized the word "thought".  Overall, I'm happy with the way it came out with the metallic embroidery floss but it was kind of a pain to work with.
25  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / For Those About to Rock Ipod Cozy (with Sublime Stitching) on: December 05, 2004 05:49:22 PM
I'm known for being very clumsy so I wanted to protect my Ipod as much as possible.  I'd probably keep it wrapped in bubble wrap if I could.  Here is the front

I ended up with the flap on the back because I neglected to take into account the extra space needed and I didn't want to cover up the design.
26  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Hello Kitty Rock 'n Roll Purse on: December 05, 2004 04:20:56 PM
This is not my first purse, but definitely my first project posted on Craftster.  I'm crossing my fingers that the pics load properly.

And here's the inside.  I used a sparkly star button to make the closure.  The Amy Bradley pattern I used called for velcro but I thought the button was more rockin'.
27  Florida / Florida: Central / Brevard County/Orlando on: November 01, 2004 08:30:05 AM
Hi,
I travel to Florida once or twice a year and am hoping that someone has suggestions for cool record stores, bars, crafty stores, etc.  I go away for vacation but I just can't help myself, I simply MUST craft!
Thanks,
Cindy
28  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Embroidery Fills on: July 27, 2004 02:25:59 PM
Hopefully this hasn't been already brought up.  I was wondering if anyone has advice about filling in large sections.  I usually use the satin stitch but I wasn't sure if it would look funky over a big area.  Help!
