I'll post the pants that I made danger.kitty later on but this is the awesome package I received from her.  In my Social D leopard apron, I feel like the punk rock Martha Stewart!

12  Re: funky black purse swap - pictures! in The Swap Gallery by Craft Addict on: June 16, 2005 08:38:35 PM
Work took so long to end today.  I got an email saying that my purse from Artery was waiting at home.  I swear, it was like being in junior high again, just waiting for the bell to ring.  I will post pictures this weekend but Artery rocks my socks!  She so graciously offered to make up for my disappearing swap partner and made me a purse that is so "me". You will have to see it for yourself this weekend but all I can say is, zebra print handle!  So freakin' cool!

edited to add picture:

The opposite side has a blue swallow and the inside lining is a cool funky retro print.

13  Shag Wahine Tote in Needlework: Completed Projects by Craft Addict on: May 14, 2005 05:44:37 PM
The artist Shag is one of my favorites.  I love his clean simple lines and the colors he uses so I decided to embroider a bag with one of his paintings.  I tried to match the colors up as closely as I could but obviously there's no way to duplicate his work.

Here is a pic of the original:http://www.shag.com/%21Prints/Greenwahineprint.html

I forgot to reverse the image.  Oops!

This is the purse I sent Tinapickles.  She has already received it and posted a description on a separate post before the gallery was up.  Maybe one of the mods can move it here but here are the pics:

15  Re: Folded Fabric Flower pin/hair clip tutorial in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Craft Addict on: March 23, 2005 09:00:05 PM
This is my first attempt, it's not perfect by any means but I'm pleased overall how it came out.  At first I couldn't figure out the second diagonal fold but eventually it all came together in my head.  Thanks so much for the tutorial and inspiration!

Blackdragonfly sent me a really cute clock and wristband and activity book.  The book is in my crafting area so I forgot to take a pic but here are the other 2 items:

The pillow I sent her:

Thanks for being a great swap partner!

Thanks for the colorful shirt Coma Bernice.  I meant to post before now, I've been super forgetful.  I'll post a pic later in the week.

19  VERY pink purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Craft Addict on: February 05, 2005 11:44:55 PM
This purse didn't start out being so pink, but somehow the pinkness overtook me.  The piping is all handmade.

20  Swallow tattoo photo album in Needlework: Completed Projects by Craft Addict on: February 04, 2005 09:03:33 PM
I recovered a plain white photo album as a belated wedding gift for my friends.  I pretty much just measured out the album's dimensions, made a pattern and hot glued the embroidered silk shantung on.

And a close up:
