Another vintage pattern, modern fabric shirt.  The last button is a little wonky but overall I'm very pleased with how it came out.  There are no hearts per se but the fabric colors and the candy pattern scream Valentine's Day to me.

The word "vintage" is in quotation marks because I'm pretty sure that there weren't any ladies' skull shirts around back in the 50's.  But there should have been!  The pattern I made this from is authentically 50's.  The fabric, not so much.

The upside of getting laid off from work right before the holidays is that I have plenty of time for crafting.  After I finished making gifts, I made myself this tote. 

Ask and you shall receive.  That's a good idea about masking the address.  I didn't post the back side because I didn't think anyone would want to see it.  Hopefully my luggage doesn't actually get lost because I'm not entirely positive that the airlines will be able to read it!

I wanted to think of alternative uses for embroidery besides the usual pillowcase, tea towel, etc..  Plus I travel alot, so I thought this would be cute and practical.  I embroidered my name, address and phone number on the back.

I've recently connected with an old friend and found out that his wife is due to give birth any day now.  Of course I couldn't let this opportunity pass by.  A little background info:  my friend is currently the singer in a punk band and used to sing for an old school NY hardcore band.  They've been calling the as yet unborn baby "Spike" so I figured since all good hardcore boys have the old english tattoo on their stomachs, baby Spike should have one as well.


And I couldn't forget about mom, so....

I made this pillow for a good friend who has recently gone vegetarian.  Considering that he never ate fruits or vegetables before he quit meat cold turkey, I thought he could use something to remind  him of his commitment when he craves an In and Out burger.

My roommate and I made each other stockings for Christmas.  My tiki looks a little lucha libre but he's still pretty cute.

I decided to make my friend a Christmas stocking after being inspired by my roommate's stockings at the Bust Craftacular.  Of course I had to put my own spin on it.  Overall I'm happy with how it came out.

Finally posting the pants I made Danger.Kitty.  Sorry it took so long.  Things have been kind of hectic trying to find an apartment and job in NYC.  I also sent a little necklace with a cherry charm made from inkjet shrinky dink material.
