Hey - has anybody here done the Artists and Fleas market?  I'd love some feedback before I pay for a table.

Hey -
1. self-doubt is a bad trap to fall into. your stuff is rad, someone will buy it, and it's worth the price you're charging since you made it by hand.
I've had my site up for less than a year and one thing I can definitely speak to is the value of linking to other sites. The crafty community is thankfully very nice about linking so just find sites you like and write to their owners (ps - I love to link!!!!)
my site gets a lot of hits, and so while it can be super-discouraging not to sell anything for awhile, at least i know that people are looking at it. which hopefully means they'll come back

also: venus magazine sells ad space on their site to indie designers for $40/month.  this is a fabulous forum if you want to shell out a just a little advertising cash.
to recap:

LINK!
Get a paypal account if you can
if you make clothes, try and do as many fashion shows as possible, either through a college or whatever.
print out little business cards or flyers at home and leave them in coffee houses and stuff where folks might see them.
don't be discouraged, you are a rock star.
i could go on and on.......
