thank you everyone for such sweet comments. the nursery has become a place that i love to spend time in with my baby. i love sitting in the chair and reading him stories. he is always looking around at all the fun and colorful things around.

sew.sweet.chic: i definitely didn't want it to be too theme-y or all monochromatic. the stripes helped break up the overly aqua-ness. it took a long time for me to come up with everything. i tried to make it a little less traditional...glad you like it!

very original. the splitting of the images between the frames really make this piece what it is. i love it. had to say i immediately wanted to check out your site afterwards. i love the colors and simplicity of the work, but there seems to be so much more in the subject... wonderfully done.

Atouria: i actually just made them myself. i purchased 9" zippers and just approximated the size and went at it! that's usually how i sew. it's very random, but i end up having a lot more fun doing it that way.

madfishmonger: yea i really like the look of the hook/clasp. they were really easy to work with too! which is always a plus.

Doodleabby: the zippers weren't bad at all!! especially when it's such a simple design. i finished all five yesterday afternoon. cnce i got a nice rhythm down i was able in finish them pretty quickly. it was sad to split them up and wrap them because i felt so accomplished after seeing them all in a row! haha

genislaughter: they are felt circles that i free-motion stitch my initials on. i wanted to get professional tags made for a long time...but realized, why waste the money? they just look more handmade this way, anyway.

a group of friends threw a beautiful baby shower for me a few weeks back and i really didn't know how to thank them. i thought...a card definitely isn't enough, so i decided to make something for each of them.

this is my first attempt at using the loop/hook clasp and it makes the bags look a lot more professional! i'm going to have to buy more. they are just simple zipper pouches, but i added cotton quilt batting to each so they hold their shape a lot better. the lining on each one matches the fabric of the handles. 

they were fun to make and i'm really pleased with how they turned out. i'll be giving them off today! i hope the girls find some good use for them.


i found felt letters at joann and purchased each of their first initials to "finish" and personalize each purse.

okay i've finally had time this past weekend to get more done!! i've updated with photos in the original post where the rest of the photos are. i've been having so much fun getting all my stuff together.

the only thing i have left is a shelving unit on the right side of the room as you enter and the curtain panel!! YAY!

40 days to go till my due date! i feels so nice to be so close to done.
