I love it! When I saw the thumbnail I immediately thought it looked exactly like a friend of mine's silhouette type thing and sent it to him... Fantastic job.
8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Papier-mch Gandalf (8 pictures) on: January 19, 2008 08:29:24 PM
In Literature this term we're doing a book-study-kind-of-thing on the Hobbit. As part of this, our teacher is having us make papier-mch characters from the book. It has to be papier-mch, which blows. I ended up cheating on the arms, though, because it's not like you can really see them anyway and I was too lazy to figure something else out.

Without further ado... Gandalf:

P.S. This was my first go at making a hat and my first go at making anything with sleeves. AND IT GOT BOTH ON THE FIRST TRY, which pretty much boggled my mind because I was setting myself up for a huge let down. So that was nice :] Oh, and the staff was loosely based on a Harry Potter wand I saw on here some time ago.

Anywaaaaay, this isn't due until February first, so does anyone have any sggestions as to how I could improve him?

I think I saw you or some other girl in a very similar hat in Philadelphia this weekend near the park with the LOVE sculpture.

Serious props are due if you cut that deer silhouette yourself.
