1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Re: beadalon expandable beading loom on: December 22, 2006 11:43:40 AM
okay-I do not have one of those but it LOOKS like you have to thread the string in the hole then spin the wood thing then deal with the securing of all the strings on other side?? What about using a large bead to stop it from coming through.
Hope this helps,
laurie
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / NEW BEADERS DREAM UTENSIL!! u gotta see it! on: December 22, 2006 11:32:58 AM
Hi all! I'm new to this forum-chatting in general, actually, but thought you'd all like to see this new beading and design tray! I recently started taking some classes and was telling my teacher how I really,REALLY dislike the flocked tray we all have and wished there was something different.
THERE IS!!
She's designed this really neat new tray!! You HAVE to check it out!!
NO MORE MIXED UP BAGS OF BEADS!!!
Unlessya want em-of course.
Theres a lengthener on it for the hemp tiers-separate compartments for easy bead removal-Check it out!! I hope I've posted this in the correct space-if not-WHOOPS!! Sorry!
I can not wait for these and I put in my order!!

here is a link for her site!!

Look around! This is one of the best new items for beaders I have EVER seen!! Even better than the magic crimping tool!! And I'm not saying this just cuz she's my teacher either.

BTW-I'm Laurie, older than 30 and live in IA! I love beading but usually just make stuff for my family and friends and ME!! I'm having a heck of a time ending my loom work and that's one thing my teacher don't teach.
I'm sure I'll be back in at a later date to look around some more but I'm off to spread the word about this AWESOME new beaders tray!!
Thanks s o much for reading! Let me know what ya think of it or better yet,let Jami know!!
Good Beadings!
Laurie

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Re: HUGE bead storage PROBLEM!!! on: December 22, 2006 11:26:26 AM
I do know that you can get similar metal tins at sporting goods stores. Cheap too. In the camping section is where I found the ones I use. They are for fish hook storage. Ya know,so when ya open the tackle box they fall all out everywhere.
Hope this helps-
Laurie
