I started my BIG item, in terms of time AND space, last night and made pretty good progress! Oh and I finished another pretty time consuming thing this weekend! Plus I have everything else all planned out and the materials ready to go!

Oh you guys are on the ball! I'll prolly be sending right at the deadline. I put this swap on hold to knock out a baby shower present for my cousin, but pretty soon I'll be back to crafting!

I'm probably going to send close to the deadline, too.  I've been alternating between this crafting for this swap and making gifts for Christmas.  So far, I have about 6 things done and I'm about 40% done with another.  I need to start making some quicker items, too! Tongue

I've been knitting like a mad woman to finish a blanket for my cousin.... by FRIDAY. GAH. I only have to things completely done because I prefer to work on a bunch of things at once... so I have like ten WIPs right now!

Ahhh crafting for Christmas... I need to start that too!

15  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: TLC Essentials for baby blanket? on: November 02, 2008 06:14:27 PM
If the fabric softener doesn't do the job, I'll make sure to try the conditioner too! Thanks!

Thank you for all your input and advice. :]
I think I am going to go for it and knit the blanket with slightly bigger needles. Hopefully washing it with some fabric softener will help too!

Hey all!

I just bought some yarn to make a baby blanket for my cousin's baby based on colors not really softness.... DOH! Kinda stupid move right there. Anyway I went to check the comments on Ravelry and someone said that TLC Essentials yarn is too rough for babies.... so I am asking you trusty craftsters, do you find this to be true? If so do you think there is a better choice.... keep in mind I am kinda poor right now.....

Thank you! :]

19  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: ~*~*Reviews of Prepackaged Vegetarian and Vegan Foods*~*~ on: October 16, 2008 08:22:20 PM
Anyone tried the Morningstar Farmes Broccoli Cheddar bites? They are awful. Not Cheesy and they just taste like mush with Broccoli in it. Gross.

I completely agree!  These are disgusting.  I couldn't eat them.  They tasted bad and had a really gross texture.  I expected them to be cheesier, like these really unhealthy broccoli cheese bites my mom used to buy for me ages ago, which were soooo good and now I can't find anywhere.  What a disappointment.

I actually like them.... well I liked them when I used to eat them.. I gave up cheese awhile ago. But if you overcook them, they are really good..... but then again I LOVE broccoli.

I finished my first item last night.... it's SMOOSHABLE! So it doesn't take up that much room and I loved it so much I am making another one to send!
