Hi all!

So this has pretty much been a constantly evolving project. I started out with the plan to make a skirt with a shirred waist band, so I cut my fabric, and blah blah blah. It soon became apparent that no matter how much I shirred it was still going to be entirely too big for me. :[ So I did some creative pleats in the front, I can show you pictures if necessary, and plan on turning it into a dress.

But there is the problem. I can't seem to come up with a decent idea for the bodice of this dress. I spent a couple of hours tonight messing around with different fabric/options, but nothing looks quite right.... Needless to say I need some design help! Any input or ideas you have would be greatly appreciated!

The scarf is "Branching Out" from Knitty and is actually knitted. I used Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool.

I received from delayes_echo a few days ago and had to wait to take some decent photos... its been all foggy here!

Anyway onto the goodies....

She sent cards with gorgeous drawings on them and a names too! And matching envelopes!

Then she also sent little memo sheets and mini envelopes... they are origami envelopes! So cool! And a little note pad with drawing on both sides... there is a tree + bike and another tree on the other side!

Hey!

This weekend my mom and aunts and I got together for a little stamping party... we just got into stamping! Yay! Anyway we spent saturday afternoon stamping and experimenting and then my mom and I did it again on sunday after church.

I tend to be a slow worker. It takes me forever to find the right combo of paper and then adding stamps is another issue and the color of ink is another debacle, so I only got 7 cards done. 2 aren't shown.

I got some steno notebooks to journal in, but the covers are so freaking ugly that I decided to make my own! I love love love the daisy paper from (SEI) and I knew I had to use a bit of it... I also ended up using foil and then just stamped "notes" on the cover. Easy peasy.

Oh my gosh! I totally forgot to post pictures from Day 4, only because I was using it.. it or them??? Haha. Anyway for Day 4, Betzi sent me 2 pretty skeins of Regia sock yarn, personally imported from Germany by her, a set of DPN's and instructions for knitting socks!

Today, for Day 3 she sent me 3 beaded snowflakes! Unfortunately I forgot my camera at my mom's house and can;t get pics until after Christmas, so I will be posting pics of the last 3 days then. Phooey.

Today I received 5 pretty fat quarters from Betzi! I love the polka dot one! Thank you so much Betzi, I really hope you like your Day 5, this is the day I am most excited about!

I received my surprise from eenodol, the other day, sorry it took me so long to get pictures.

First she sent me a pretty skein of pink yarn and 2 crochet hooks! And some yarn needles! I love the yarn, its got random little slubs in it!

And then she sent 2 pairs of crocheted earrings, both of which are absolutely awesome, they have a bit of sparkle in the yarn too! Sadly I was only be able to get a picture of one pair before my battery died.
