2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Polar fleece as a stuffing? on: February 01, 2009 01:36:57 PM
Hey! I'm looking to make a cheap "sofa". My plans are to make a large cylinder out of fabric, and then make two "L" shaped sides, and sew it together. Now my original plan was to make it into a sort of beanbag couch, but I kept hearing things like "packing peanuts will eventually crush, and you will have to keep putting more in." So I was thinking, could one use little strips of polar fleece as stuffing? I'd assume it's cheaper, you can just ask people for their extra polar fleece.
Has anyone ever used polar fleece as a stuffing for pillows/cushions? Thanks a lot!

Nice shirt!
Did you just let it sit over night? Or what?

Alright! I'll check into it, not in the price range, but I'll see what they have to say.
Thanks!

Awesome idea!
And that wouldn't cost too much, either.
Wow, cheap art I could actually do!
Thanks for the idea. Cheesy

Sounds complicated, maybe I'll just take a class sometime, if I can find one. Tongue
Thanks anyways, I'll re-read it a few times, haha.

Hey!
I think it would be very fun to make some fused glass pendants and what-not, but I don't have access to a kiln...is there anything I could do? Is the oven a possibility? Or anything else?
Thanks a lot! Cheesy

10  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Atheism? on: May 05, 2007 03:53:07 PM
Maybe an "agnosticism" swap would be better, because alternative religions can also have a deity.  And relating alternative religions to atheism could be taken offensively.
Try a different title. Wink
Just some thoughts.
