knitoramamomma, your FOs are always so great!  I saw this scarf at my LYS and it looked so complicated, but now I might have to try one. (I *heart* scarves!)

Angelzen, I love the hat in that color! Very tabby. Smiley  If I were ever going to make another one, I'd do color (mine's black).

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: saying no to stash on: August 12, 2004 01:11:28 PM
I started out with a couple skeins of old crafty yarn, then I would only buy yarn per project, now I have a bin.  I'm really trying to keep it contained to the one bin, but it's getting tough.  I love buying the goofy balls on clearance at my LYS, thinking *someday* I'll know what to do with them... or, I'll buy yarn for a project, like a scarf, then get tired of making scarves, so it just kind of hangs out until I'm ready for it.

I envy your willpower! Smiley

That's really pretty!  How did you add the beads? Did you knit them on or add them later?

Are you sure you didn't drop a stitch over there?  It doesn't really look like it, but I just had the same situation yesterday with my Snowball Cat Bed and I looked at it forever before I realized that's what happened.  I saw the holes, but didn't realize I had dropped a stitch until I counted.

Good luck!
6  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Knitting bag on: June 22, 2004 06:09:31 AM
This is my first post... I just had to share my diy tote bags from SNB! They were my first "real" sewing projects, and I'm really pleased with the way they turned out.  Smiley  I didn't have too much trouble with them... the patches were a little tricky to sew b/c I must not have been holding them down well, and when I got to the end, I had a wrinkle, so I had to go back and do the last two sides again.

The fabrics are from Jo-Ann, I found the Hawaii pic online, and the one on the blue bag, which you can't see very well, is a vintage French postcard that I scanned.
