Everyone's Quant's look great.

Here's what I've got done so far. I'm using Universal Yarn's Classic Worsted LP.

2  Cabled wrist bag *Now with pattern* in Knitting: Completed Projects by Kymberlina on: March 12, 2007 11:52:58 AM
Hi all! I was inspired to make this bag from a pattern I had seen in book, I believe it was called Simple Knits. I did not want to pay $25.00 for a book that only had one pattern in it that I liked, so I came up with this! Thanks for looking!

Worsted Weight Yarn ( I used some mystery fiber yarn from my stash)
Size 6 (4mm) straight needles / double point needles
cable needle

Purse body (make 2):
CO 26 w/ straight needles.
Work even  in [K2,P2] ribbing for 23 rows.
Row 24: P2, [M1, K2, P2] 5 more times. (32 sts)
Row 25: K2 [P3, K2] 5 more times.
Row 26: P2, [M1, K3, P2] 5 more times. (38 sts)
Row 27: K2, [P4, K2] 5 more times.
Row 28: P2, [M1, K4, P2] 5 more times. (44 sts)
Row 29: K2, [P5, K2] 5 more times.
Row 30: P2, [M1, K5, P2] 5 more times (50 sts)

Row 31: K2, [P6, K2] 5 more times.
Row 32: P2, [K6, P2] 5 more times.
Repeat rows 31 & 32 two more times, then row 31 once more.
Next row: P2, [slip 3 sts to cable needle & hold in front of work, K3, K3 from cable needle, P2] 5 more times.

Repeat last 8 rows, two more times.

Repeat rows 31 & 32, then row 31 once more.

Next row: P2, [K2tog, K4, P2] 5 more times. (44 sts)
Next row: K2, [P5, K2] 5 more times.
Next row: P2, [K2tog, K3, P2] 5 more times. (38 sts)
Next row: K2, [P4, K2] 5 more times.
Next row: P2, [slip 2 sts to cable needle and hold in front of work, K2tog, K2 from cable needle, P2] 5 more times. (32 sts)
Next row: K2, [P3, K2] 5 more times.
Next row: P2, [K2tog, K1, P2] 5 more times. (26 sts)
Next row: K2, [P2, K2] 5 more times.
Next row: P2, [K2tog, P2] 5 more times. (20 sts)
Next row: K2, [P1, K2] 5 more times.

Bind off in pattern.

With dpn's make an I-cord 11 inches long for handle. (I casted on 6 sts)

Sew pieces together, fold down cuff at top of bag, attach handle to inside of cuff. Voila!

This pattern could also be adapted to work in one piece on dpn's if you prefer, if you're not a fan of the finishing.

I'm not the best pattern writer, so just ask if you have any questions!
