I decided to try a more realistic style of animal and see how that worked out - I came up with a daddy and baby monkey. More details of how I made them, and more pics, available on my blog

I love my cat Maui so much... I had to make him something adorable for his third birthday. This is what I came up with:



I sewed the mouse from 3 pieces of fabric, then stuffed it with fiberfill mixed with catnip. I added a piece of string for the tail, sewed on felt ears and I embroidered the eyes and nose.

The mouse is about 2 inches long (not including tail!)

Other than Fabricland, can anyone recommend anywhere good for fabric, notions, etc in or around Mississauga?  (I know there's Queen Street in Toronto but I'm trying to avoid a trip downtown.)

I'm looking for places that are either good value or have a large selection or (preferably) both... Suggestions?

Hello! This is my first post on craftster, although I have lurked for ages...

I wanted to show you my latest project - a machine-applique patchwork embellished tote.



I used HeatnBond to iron on the patchwork pieces, and then zigzagged over the edges with my sewing machine. I made the bag from thick black fabric and lined it with thin vinyl (it's going to be a lunch bag for me, so I wanted it to have a wipe-clean lining).
