21  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Blue Dolphin on: January 08, 2008 09:56:01 AM
Here's my latest design: a dolphin. I think it's nice to keep things simple sometimes - I just used a single colour of yarn and concentrated on getting the shape right. What do you think?

22  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / dwarf bunny (warning: cute overload!) on: January 05, 2008 12:36:42 PM
I just finished crocheting this baby dwarf bunny... she is so cute I can hardly stand it!

She is actually a saved mistake - a guinea pig prototype gone wrong, so I rescued her and decided to make a bunny instead.

Hope you like her!
23  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / christmas pudding decoration (with link to pattern) on: December 14, 2007 08:52:28 PM
I wanted to design something small and seasonal, and this little amigurumi Christmas Pudding with white sauce, holly leaves and berries is what I came up with. It works up really quickly and it's a great way to use up scraps of yarn!

The free pattern is here Smiley
24  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Beagle (yes it's another amigurumi dog!) on: December 06, 2007 10:35:37 AM
Beagles are my favourite breed of dog, so I couldn't resist making a crocheted amigurumi version! This is as close to a real beagle as I'm going to get at this time in my life so I wanted to make him as adorable and lifelike as possible. I spent a lot of time designing and redesigning to get to this point, but I think it was worth all the effort:

I've named him Porthos after the beagle in ST Enterprise  Grin

I have more photos from different angles on my blog.

Hope you like him!
25  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Jack Russell Terrier on: November 25, 2007 04:05:34 PM
I love designing these dog patterns: here's my latest one, a Jack Russell Terrier puppy:

I really love his little folded ears Smiley  What do you think?
26  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / berry pins and vegetable magnets - yum! on: November 07, 2007 11:29:07 AM
Vegetable magnets and berry pins. The magnets are embedded invisibly in the backs of the avocadoes and aubergines so they stick to the fridge as if by magic. The pins are baked into the backs of the berries for strength - no glue involved Smiley

Hope you like them!
27  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / poinsettia flower! (feeling christmassy yet?) on: November 03, 2007 02:51:52 PM
Here's my latest project. I designed this poinsettia as 19 individual pieces and then sewed them all together. I think it gives it a look to any other crocheted flowers I've seen:

Oh, and there is a free pattern for it if you're interested  Smiley

Hope you like it! Time to get into the holiday spirit!
28  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Amigurumi Acorns (kawaii!) on: September 02, 2007 07:44:11 AM
I just finished these little acorns...

The one on the right was picked before he was ripe  Grin

They are just over 2 inches tall. Both acorns have removable cups and the twig is made by crocheting around a piece of pipe cleaner!

Hope you like them Smiley
29  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Offset Square Wrist Pincushions on: August 28, 2007 08:57:28 PM
I designed these pincushions myself. Each one is made from 2 squares of fabric, offset before sewing together to give the unusual shape.

The strap is made from twill tape with a velcro fastener. I wear one on my wrist whenever I use my sewing machine and they are so useful! No more lost pins knocked onto the floor  Cheesy
30  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / 2nd Guinea Pig on: August 28, 2007 08:50:30 PM
I've finished my second guinea pig. It took a couple of attempts to get the long-haired one looking good, but I think I've got it now:

Don't they look cute together?
