12  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Werecat!! - Stuffed cat with a dark side on: August 22, 2014 10:11:08 AM
Werecat!! Scraggly black and grey fun fur and safety eyes and nose. I love safety eyes. I need to start using them more! Unfortunately I only have a few cat eyes left.  Undecided Lots and lots of round pupils but that would just look so weird on a cat! I'm going to have to expand my horizons.  Tongue

Bonus! A leopard-y dirty-y bear?  Cheesy  This fabric is so strange and I have about a metric ton of it!

13  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Common Grackle - Alpaca and Mulberry Silk skein on: August 22, 2014 09:12:38 AM
It's been too long since I've had a yarn to post!! I spun this up for a dear friend and while I told her she could name it, I got impatient and just chose a name - Common GrackleWink  (More info on my skein naming here.)

It's 80% Huacaya Alpaca and 20% Mulberry Silk, 2 oz, 83 yards, and from Yarn Geek Fibers. It felt like what I would imagine spinning long hair would feel like! Cheesy I liked it a lot but it got all over me. I think it came out beautifully though! Just a simple 2-ply but the fiber is so gorgeous!

Here was the fiber pre-spinning!
14  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Craftcation Conference - Have you been? on: January 10, 2014 09:24:55 AM
Have any of you ever attended or participated in the Craftcation Conference? I'm trying to get a feel for what it's like. Did you think it was useful for whatever you were trying to get out of it? What kinds of discussion panels did you see/participate in?

Thanks!

Yea, it's been requested for a while now. I've never put it in because I never know it. Honestly, I'm sure very few others do, too. I've never had a problem.
