2  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / "Smile Time" Angel Puppet Micro-bust on: January 27, 2010 06:52:13 PM
This is a polymer clay micro-bust that I made for a co-worker/friend of mine who is a huge Angel and Buffy fan.  The bust is solid polymer clay and measures approximately 3 inches tall.

Thanks for looking; comments appreciated.

Thanks for the kind words...I wasn't going for disturbing per say, but my secret santa swap partner loves halloween and hand-made art dolls and this is what I came up with.   Smiley

8  COOKING / Dessert / Halo Grunt Cake on: August 15, 2009 08:05:17 AM
This was my first attempt at a fondant cake.  Several of my friends and I have a monthly get together where we play Halo, eat and just hang out.  I usually bring cookies or drinks but this time I decided to try something I've always wanted to do and I think it came out pretty good for my first time.

Fondant was made using a tutorial I found on Youtube:

1 Bag of marshmallows
2-3 cups of powdered sugar

The cake was from a mix.

The filling was made by mixing some vanilla frosting with some orange marmalade.

It was a big hit at Halo night and I was told that it not only looked cool, but it tasted good as well, and I guess taste is the most important part.
