Aren't they cute?!  I just love it when i get some time to myself and can sew cool stuff!    A few are gifts.    Just gotta decide which ones are gifts.  *smiles*

I just made the cutest (i think, lol) little bag that holds an ipod, keys, and credit cards/dollar bills.

even has a handy snap handle so one can attach it to the shopping cart or whatever, if desired.

Have you ever gone to a large event - like the zoo, the fair, etc and then when you're ready to leave, have trouble finding your vehicle in the masses - because it seems that EVERYONE has a vehicle that looks like yours??

Well, have I got the answer!  Works great, too!  I apologize that I don't have pics at a large gathering so the backyard pic will just have to do, but it's wonderful!  I even now use my car as the 'meeting' place when we have group visits at the zoo - my car is so obvious!  

no more wandering up and down aisles trying to figure out just where I parked. . .

I just came across this pic of a toy I made my son for his 1 year birthday party/gift.  He's now 21 months old and STILL adores this frog.  Heck, he's sound asleep with it right now.  *loveeyes*  I never thought he'd like it as much as he has. . ..

I just finished these diapers.

They make me smile..

'sides, what's not to smile about putting brocade on a baby?     It's going to be a shame to put a diaper cover on these!

Good thing next baby is due in spring - hopefully no diaper cover needed - just a tshirt and diaper! 



should explain the white cap you see on each diaper is a size engraved cap so i can keep all my diapers straight with a simple look see at the right wing. 

I just made a Tinkerbell Tote bag for an 8 yr old i'm visiting.

Sorry i'm getting ready to leave so no innard pics but it has a simple pocket (no flap closure) inside tote to hold the pouch wallet i made to go with.

I have been trying to figure out a great simple wallet that would hold money/coins AND credit cards and all those little bits of paper, but yet not be much bigger than a credit card itself.

WELL!  this morning, while the younglings (age 3, 1) 'ate' (really they fling everywhere) their breakfast, I made up this pattern and stitched it up . . .

First - I would recommend you make the opening for flipping right side out where the snap/aplix would go - so you won't have to top stitch around the card holders - that made it a little teensy bit too small for my liking - but still nice.  

I JUST finished making 2 of these.  One for a friend (we're visiting a family soon that we haven't seen in a LONG while) and the other, I just thought it'd be a good idea to make 2 - 'just in case', lol. 

I really like them myself.  The colors are so bright and cheery - the pics don't do them justice - the striped inner matches all teh colors but for some reason, the camera isn't picking up most of the colors - just the yellow and black it seemed...  . 

anyways, it was my first foray into the 'bright and colorful' world.  i'm more of a muted color gal so this was an interesting adventure.

oh i got the fabric at joann's for $3/yard each on clearance rack.  they're cotton canvas prints. . ..

anyways, i made my pattern piece 17"x24"

the one thing i want to do to it is finish the 2 raw edges with some folded over fabric to make it nice inside.  otherwise, i think it looks good and will make a nice gift.  (i'm visiting some friends i haven't seen in over 4 years and need to have a gift for the guy, my friend, and their 2 kids. . .. )  one gift down. . .. .

Someone posted a tutorial (i'm totally sorry i'm blanking on who right now) and i took that idea and made one to the dimensions i wanted.

it was my first attempt and i think it turned out pretty good - i want to make it taller next time and not quite so wide, though and i forgot to put a handle on it.  oops.

I really enjoy reading all the posts here.  it's very hard to find typing time though to reply as i have 2 young children that are special needs and they are quite a handful. . ..
