Unfortunately for my left thumb, yes. All three of the sewing machines at the craft center are broken. I did a kind of shitty job because I was so impatient to wear it and I ended up ripping part of it later that night when I went out ( ). Thankfully the zebra stuff is like stretchy swimsuit material and doesn't need to be hemmed.

Sorry if the picture quality's not so great, I'm just using Photo Booth since my camera is dead.

Once upon a time a girl saw stretchy zebra fabric at the craft center at school, and then spotted some gold lamé, and 4 hours later, a dress was born...

And the dress was free! The zebra and gold stuff were from the craft center and the purple fabric and sparkly flower were from a hideous 80's dress my aunt gave me.

I don't remember who else has posted a beer fairy costume on here but that's where I got the idea: THANK YOU! Everyone thought it was great (and one of my friends heard someone talking about my costume after the party  ). I had so much fun making it too, though I got a little injured from exacto-knife-ing the beer cans. Onto the pictures...







Okay so let's see. I got a white curtain valence thing from goodwill, cut off the gross lace at the bottom, and put beer can tabs around the bottom (they were attached with wire). The corset thing was 1 layer tank top (not the one I was wearing in the 1st and 2nd pictures), 1 layer duct tape, 1 layer beer cans, and 1 layer clear plastic tape to keep everything from falling apart and me from cutting up my arms. It looked better without the tanktop but it had a tendency to slip down which, when combined with being slightly inebriated, would probably end badly so I wore a tanktop underneath. The wings were just a beer box decorated with glitter. Wand is self explanatory, and so is my jewelry, which got me quite a few request for beer bottle cap earrings.

The frat I usually frequent here at college had a white trash party. At first I was stumped for an outfit and I didn't want to do the typical super short skirt/shorts plus brightly colored bra under white wifebeater. Next step: go literal! I raided my roomie's stash of plastic bags and came up with this...

1 delias bag + 4 target bags + 1 random pink bag = cute dress that I want to make a fabric version of because I liked it so much. The little pink thing on the shoulder is a heart with "K-Fed" inside.

The best part is it's water beerproof!
