so i'm dying to make an afghan so i bought a book (Knit Afghans of Many Colors) that has all these patterns for afghans to make with all the scrap yarn you have lying around...i actually went out and bought more yarn...but hey who could help themselves?
ok so here's the problem...i can't understand the pattern...
it requires me to cas on 206 sts onto size 9/ 29-inch circular needles (so far so great)
here's where i'm confused...
it says to slip all stitches as to purl...so does that mean i bring the yarn in front before i slip the stitch as if i was going to purl a stitch? I think this is what they intended, but that causes another problem...on one row after such a slipped stich, it asks me to bring the yarn to the back before i knit the next stitch, but on the row before it doesn't ask me to bring the yarn to the back...does that mean i'm supposed to knit a stitch with the yarn in front?
i'm still getting the hang of this knitting thing....please help if this makes any sense to you
