1  Italian Braids? in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by Kurisu on: April 13, 2008 07:55:19 PM

Okay, quick question... I have shoulder length, thick, wavy black hair.  Whenever it's rainy or humid my hair frizzes out beyond control.  I mean, there's some days where I put gel in my hair, let it dry completely, then walk outside to have it puff up.  Sooooo I walk back inside, cover it w/ frizz ease serum (the expensive stuff), walk back out side and I'm back frizzier than ever.  So far I've tried everything possible (john frieda, herbal essences, you name it i used it).

One of my guests at work suggested to get it braided... thing is I'm Italian and have never had it styled that way before.  Has anyone here had braids before?  Any tips/suggestions?

Here's some dorky pics of me:
***note: my hair is still wet in these pics! LoL  I try to stay away from the camera when i'm in frizz ball mode***

3  Re: Asia is more than Japan swap in The Swap Gallery by Kurisu on: September 06, 2007 04:04:19 PM
Sorry for the late post, college has been hectic!  Anyways, here's the stuff Akriti sent me:

Here's a Ganesha idol:

Some awesome candle holders:

And some Indian Warli tribal art:

Also, she asked that I post the pics of the stuff I sent her.  So here they are.  Kinda worried... it should have been there a while ago.  =(

Here's a tray with an Indian elephant on it.

A side view of the vining flowers and ribbon that frames the elephant:

Another side:

And a mixed media painting of ohm text.  It's said during yoga to bring calmness to the individual.  LoL, knowing that she has a little kid, I bet she could use a bit of calmness and tranquility.  tehe

Also, the picture doesn't do it much justice.  It's actually red (i think thats one of her favorite colors)!  Yet the pic makes it look pink... -_-
