2  Re: Floshed Purse in Crochet: Completed Projects by digibudi on: August 24, 2007 03:42:39 AM
Love the colors! What's a flosh?
A flosh is a floche, a bundle of threads held together at one point. Mostly used for curtains and keychains. But I don't know if that word exists in English. Let's look it up...

It seems that this word is French. We use it in Dutch too. Anyway, here's a picture of a floche:

How do you call it in English? A pompom? No, that would be the round shaped one.
It also seems that there is a painter (probably French too) who's name is Jean-Claude Le Floche! Ha! I didn't even know that. Who did?

But if anyone knows the English word for floche, please let me know. I'm quite curious now. I need to know more about the floche. Because the floche rules!

3  Floshed Purse in Crochet: Completed Projects by digibudi on: August 21, 2007 10:42:49 AM
My second attempt at crochet. I loved to work with this wool, it was so colorfull. And a real joy to finish it, but also a little sad, but there's enough wool (and sheep) to crochet some more..

Here's the purse, with floshes. I love floshes. They are so floshy.  Smiley

Another pose of the Floshed Purse. She's got that attitude. (everything floshed has some attitude ones in a while)

I hope you like it.

4  Ballerina with big eyes! in Completed Projects by digibudi on: May 25, 2007 10:27:30 AM
This is Ballerina Prima, or prima ballerina.. Smiley

She's made of wool felt on a nylon felted background. Entirely handstitched and finished with a cute daisie button and some sweet yellow flower-trim.

She has very big eyes and no mouth, because she has to focus on her dancing steps..

Finished with a daisie button and the yellow flowery trim.

Now, dance Ballerina, untill you get so tired you fall asleep and dream of wool felted sheep..

You can be my brother (or my sister)!
I have absolutely no problem with having another brother. There's plenty of room, and I've got a family sized teapot anyway.
