Just thought i'd update on this...its nearly a 2 years later and i've had a couple of PM's about it - We now run every week on thursdays from 6-8pm. Learn to knit, crochet, sew etc. We don't charge, materials are provided and you can even have a cuppa 

I hope to see some of you there! There's absolutely no commitment so if you are not sure just pop along and give it a go.

We went to the ceramics museum (princesshoff) in Leeuwarden which was perfect for me as i study ceramics! Also went to the graphics museum in Groningen and the DADA exhibit in Drachten was good. I was pretty impressed with the craft supplies in Leeuwarden...trust me, so much better than Wales!

Also, we found an amazing antiques/curiosity shop in Leeuwarden, its practically a museum! The gift shop of the ceramics museum had some great work by local crafts people for sale. But you're right, not much in the way of original craft shops.

We ended up staying away from Amsterdam most of the trip, Friesland is much nicer! We had a great time so thanks a lot for all the help!

I have just received my amazing package from blushingbluegrass. I've been so spoilt!!

Little plushie flamingo that actually fit in the tin (ok, with a bit of persuading!!). He had a pipe cleaner neck and legs so is very bendy and can wrap around anything. I did manage to get him to stand on one leg for all of about 2 seconds!

I'm looking for some crafty people in/around Cardiff who may be interested in getting involved with a craft event in October. It will mainly involve clothing re-cons and alterations and recycled items. I'm looking for people who may be interested in giving a short demo on a basic re-con and/or helping put together some simple printed instructions, and also some people who may be interested re-conning some items for sale at the event (all equip/clothing provided). I cant give too much away at the moment as i'm waiting for the green light on some stuff....except to say all proceeds of the event will go to charity and it may become a more regular date for the cardiff craft calendar!
