Is Lycra a good material to make dresses/skirts with?  Is it hot?  I am wanting to make some dresses and skirts with a good stretch material so that I do not have to mess with zippers  Wink HELP

Okay, so I have about a dozen quart mason jars and do not know what to do with them.  I do not know how to can, but I figure there has to be something crafty that can be done with them.  The problem is, I just don't know what.

I have two sil that are stay at home moms that both have birthdays coming up and I would like to make them something rather than buy.  I am not sure what to do though.  Both of them smoke too.  I was thinking of some type of survival kit, but am not sure.

This may sound like a really dumb question, but when taking in a shirt, do you need to seam rip up both sides and the part where the sides attach to the sleeves and then take it in or can you just take in the sides and everything else will be okay?

Can someone please tell me how to make a sleeve purse or at least point me in the right direction?  I have looked at a lot of the tutorials and searching this site, but have not come across anything.
