1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Cross Stitch Baby Bibs on: September 05, 2008 07:43:39 PM
Friends of mine recently had a baby, and when I couldn't find baby stuff that suited their personalities I decided to get crafty.

I made the pattern for this using Stitch and a picture of Tupac's tattoo. My friends live in a semi-rural area and had been joking about how their son wouldn't have any street cred.

The font and elephant pattern are from Better Homes & Gardens 2001 Cross Stitch Designs: An Essential Reference Book, which is an incredibly awesome book chock full of fun little patterns. My friends refer to their son as "Pudge". It's partially due to his big healthy baby size and partially an odd reference to The Office.

Font and pigs are from the Better Homes & Gardens book again. When my friends are out in public and don't want people to know they call their son Pudge, they say Madge instead.
On The Office, Michael accidentally addressed someone named Madge as Pudge.

I had a lot of fun making these, and the proud parents really liked them.
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Lemon drop earrings on: July 09, 2004 12:04:08 AM
This is the first pair of earrings I've made that I really like. I copied a design I saw in In Style a few months ago. The photo quality is sort of horrible, but they're lemon quartz briolettes and clear/blue quartz rounds.
Any feedback is appreciated.
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Please help identify beads on: June 17, 2004 01:33:38 PM
Hi, everybody.
I hope some other beaders out there can help me out. I bought these beads a while ago and forgot just what the heck they are. Somebody told me they might be aventurine and somebody else said they could be jade. I know they're stone (not glass). If anyone has a suggestion, please let me know.
