11  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Father's Day / Help! I need an idea for Grampa, very last minute. on: June 17, 2007 03:00:51 PM
I'm not close at all with my father, and my other grandfather is estranged from the family because of some things he did when i was younger, but my Grampa Ed is so sweet and has always been there. He may lecture me about gas and walking but he'll always give me a ride, he's so funny, i always make a point to introduce friends to him. I was nervous once because my best friend is a very gay man, and Grampa just called him sweety like he was one of my girl friends and was so cool about it. I want to make something special in the few hours of fathers day left. He likes fishing, gardening, and playing scrabble. I don't know what to do.
12  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / I could use a hand please. on: May 16, 2007 12:57:37 PM
I want to make an Elegant Gothic Lolita skirt, but I've never worked with tulle before. I want the underskirt to be tulle because A. I have an abundance of it that was given to me, and B. it's sooo much sturdier and will give the poof I want. My problem is, I'm wondering how to go about sewing it. How does one go about sewing something with so many holes in it?  Undecided
