2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Elephantastic on: July 30, 2009 12:06:07 AM
These are so freaking cute, but if I had one my grandmas ghost would come smack me, she always said an elephant with its trunk down was bad luck.  Cheesy
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Felt Face for my costume bag. on: July 26, 2009 02:43:02 PM
I really hope this is in the right place. Some backstory:
I perform every other weekend with Orgasmic Rush of Lust, Richmond's only active Rocky Horror Picture Show shadow cast. I play Columbia. Last night during a fight with tiny hand stitches on a purse that should have been a messenger bag (my sewing machine froze D:) I decided to take a small craft break and discovered much to my pleasure a tote bag full of felt I'd forgotten I had.

One hour later, I had this for my costume bag. Her hair is pinker in real life.

Her lips aren't exactly how I wanted them and the hairs a little crooked, but I was super pleased with her eye makeup and eyebrows! She's about six inches by six inches, and will soon live on my duffel. I very well may end up with one for each character!

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Chainmaille with Rubber and Anodized Aluminum Rings (extremely img heavy) on: June 02, 2009 10:27:34 AM
Gorgeous! I adore the rubber rings, I made a type of full persian strap out of purple ones and silver aluminum rings for a chain mail top I'd made, and I'd done some 4 in 1 bracelets with it, its so handy!

Who doesn't love macrame, really?
7  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Show Off Your Hair! on: March 27, 2009 09:41:17 PM
I impulsively decided to cut my own hair today, even though I'd never done it before. I forgot to take a before pic, it was REALLY impulsive, but I found one that works.

All I did was shorten the very back, and trim and shape my bangs a little. Here's the before: (it actually was longer than this, the bangs were over my eyes and the back was down past my collar, but you can see the shape.)
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: UPDATED! I'm addicted . . . (new pics on page 2) on: February 28, 2009 05:40:07 PM
These look great. I am one of the most impatient craftsters ever, but I can just listen to music or put a movie on, and get a lot done. It only really works well if you're familiar with the weave, but that doesn't take long to do. Listening to music while I worked is how I finished an entire dragon back bracelet in one sitting, even with breaks to check websites and chat with people. I did, however, put one of the side rows in backwards because I thought I was being clever and had found a shortcut, and had to take it back out and redo that whole side, but still, didn't take long and came out great.

Tl:dr version: I'm A.D.D. and impatient and even I love chain mail and can work on it for a long time.
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Gift Ideas for v-day for a guy I barely know? on: February 25, 2009 06:58:23 AM
Thanks guys, I ended up ordering him a flask, and making a chain mail cover for it, and he loved it! Unfortunately my dorky self forgot to take a picture of it first, but eh, what ya gonna do?
10  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Dreadlocks on: February 25, 2009 03:11:09 AM
I really want dreadlocks, but my hair is kind of short right now, at just a little over three inches. Do i have to wait, or can I start?
