While we're waiting...


I have been doing some more crazy quilting. I did a lot of work on the snowflake panel, adding a lot more detail which looked really good, except that it kinda didn't. I finally realised that the detail of the fabric clashed with the detail of the embroidery and unpicked it all, which is a shame because it would have looked really nice on plain fabric. However, I found my beads and have started adding glitz and glam. I left the upper corner for a shisha mirror which I had to order online. It's still not complete but I have improved it, I think.

I need something with a bit of Wow for the space near the snowflake, I think, maybe a special flower.




Open to comments and suggestions.

Hairpin lace stole/scarf/shawl 15 x 82 inches.

Okay everyone. I need your honest opinions. I decided that it was finally time to get serious about learning to embroider using the kit I bought from MsV. I found a crazy quilt book because I thought it would let me practise a variety of stitches and hide the less than perfect stitches. I went for a limited colour palette since I prefer that.

This is one side of the bag so far. I do want to do a few more rolled roses near the purple one at 10 o'clock and I haven't quite finished the two o'clock corner. I don't know what to put there. The flower pattern for the vine in the centre calls for beads on the end of the straight stitches but I thought I'd finish the embroidery and oron it before beading. IMO the flowers look a bit bare at the moment.

Opinions? How am I for coverage, variety of stiches, patterns, etc.?
