11  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / I Cross Stitch so I Don't Kill People on: March 18, 2015 06:08:32 PM
This is pretty much self-explanatory.

12  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Cute Skull Bracelet on: March 09, 2015 01:32:50 PM
I found this bracelet kit at Hobby Lobby and didn't like any of the patterns it came with so I made my own.

13  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Dragon Age Inquisition Cross Stitch on: February 15, 2015 03:50:03 PM
I wanted a quick project in-between my large projects, so I chose the Inquisition logo from DA: Inquisition.  The original logo is white-on-black, but my bf bought this awesome silver fabric and I wanted to use it so I did black on silver.

As always, C&C welcome!
14  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Fallout: New Vegas Cross Stitch on: February 13, 2015 06:02:09 PM
I really like Fallout.  New Vegas is super fun and I wanted to cross stitch something from the game.  I figured the New Vegas sign would be fun.  I made the pattern using PC Stitch which picks up on every little color variation and if you don't let the program use enough colors the picture isn't as clear.  So there were a lot of places where I was changing thread colors quite often (there's 53 colors in that baby), but it still stitched up in about a month.  It fits within an 8" hoop, but I'm not sure if I want to hoop it or frame it.  I also added some silver metallic thread to make it look like the lights are sparkling, but it's hard to see in the pictures.

And here's the original picture.

This was pretty easy to make, and it made me want to play New Vegas all the time.
15  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Dragon Age Origins- Big Dang Cross Stitch on: January 14, 2015 05:42:19 PM
I'm obsessed with Dragon Age.  Origins is the first game in the series and if you haven't played it, you should.  I'd venture as far as to say it's my favorite video game of all time.  So when I got PC Stitch I wanted to make a DA cross stitch design.  I chose the image on the game cover.  I started this in June 2014 and had to take about 3 months off when I was sewing for a craft fair.  Finished design size is about 12" by 12" give or take.  The colors are more vibrant in real life, but I couldn't get my camera to pick up on it even though I tried different variations of lighting.  So keep in mind that the reds are more red, but they're showing up a little pink in the pictures.

Here's the original picture for reference

I'm so happy that I actually finished something this big and I'm really pleased with how it came out.

16  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Evil Dead Hoopla- Another Work by My Crafty BF! on: January 12, 2015 04:17:16 PM
I got my boyfriend hooked on cross stitching!  I found this pattern for him on Etsy and gave it to him as a birthday gift.  He didn't want to start it until after he was done with his big Disneyland project.  Compared to that, this went very quickly for him.

It's on red aida, but my camera made it look kind of pink.

His stitches are so tidy

I read all the feedback to him since he doesn't have his own Craftster account.  Smiley
17  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Animal Crossing Leaf Necklace on: December 31, 2014 06:48:29 PM
I found these neat kits at the craft store that came with little pendants and chains.  I didn't really like any of the designs, so I made my own.  I really like Animal Crossing and I thought a leaf would be cute.

18  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / My boyfriend's first big project! Disneyland! on: December 27, 2014 01:00:13 PM
We love Disneyland.  My boyfriend wanted to learn how to cross stitch after he saw me doing it, and he chose this for his first big project.  I think he did a great job!

Look how neat his stitches are!

And here it is framed

It took him a little over a year, but he didn't work on it every day.  I love having a crafty boyfriend.  Smiley
19  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Monster High Ice Princess and a Bunch of Clothes (pic chubby) on: October 29, 2014 08:32:41 PM
This custom has been mostly done for a while.  She started out with a crocheted skirt and scarf, but I raided my mom's Christmas fabric and found this cool snowflake stuff.  Her crown is a belt that came with an Abbey Bominable doll.

Some Christmas/winter dresses also made from fabric raided from Mom's stash

Trippy warped checkers

Halter dress

Leggings and a halter top because I didn't like the clothes this doll came with

And an uncharacteristic (for MH) sundress

I'm glad I was finally able to finish the Ice Princess.  I had a lot of fun making all of this stuff.
